1. Convert garage to study and hobby space with possible extension and recycle area (Should be a simple conversion: Garage is part of house. Its floor is the bedroom roof (soon to be kitchen) and it has a plastered ceiling. Walls to plaster and electrics and heating to be fitted; plus internal walls, raising of floor (~3 inch) in one corner and replacing/extending garage door with external wall/window/door. 2. Convert two small bedrooms to one (ie. block up one door and removing one stud wall). 3. Refit/tile adjoining bathroom including electrical provision for shower and whirlpool style bath. 4. Remove and make good all dado rail (2 rooms plus stairs and landings) 5. Convert master bedroom and en suite to large kitchen area. 6. Fit/tile kitchen. 7. Convert existing kitchen to master bedroom with en suite. Includes re-shaping a window. 8. Fit/tile en suite, with hidden mixer shower if possible 9. Rework central bathroom to utility room to house washing machine and spin dryer, plus fitting of wc and hand basin and tiling 10. Other details include provision for new lighting in bedroom/kitchen and placement of 'within ceiling' loudspeakers (for Sonos music system) in 2 to 4 rooms.
This was a fairly complex job which took place over three main stages. Communication was v good throughout; essential for a job of this type. We slept for several weeks in three different parts of the house as it was dismantled and rebuilt around us, including a relocation of the kitchen. I found Alan very easy to work with. He was always attentive to the details of our needs/requests and was the consummate professional throughout. Electrical and plumbing work was done v effectively by subcontractors.

DRB Carpentry quoted Job price, duration & specifications - Managed to finish the Job 3days early and to a higher standard than what I was expecting (I was expecting allot more mess - but DRB ensured that my house was left in the best posable condition everyday). Project management was amazing with best use made of every tradesman that was required and at all points kept me informed of how the project was progressing.Well deserved 5

We are buying a new home and need a builder to remove some internal walls some of which may be load bearing although I'm not sure. The walls to be removed are upstairs to knock out two walls 1. dividing the toilet from the bathroom and 2. between the bathroom and bedroom 3. We then need a one new stud wall put in after the toilet is moved to make bedroom 3 bigger. Downstairs we need a wall removing between the kitchen and dining room to make one big kitchen diner. We need the internal walls knocked out at the back of the kitchen to remove the pantry, outside store and outside toilet. Lastly downstairs we need to concrete floor raising after toilet is removed in the outside store and toilet to bring it into the kitchen.
