1. Convert garage to study and hobby space with possible extension and recycle area (Should be a simple conversion: Garage is part of house. 2. Convert two small bedrooms to one (ie. block up one door and removing one stud wall).
3. Refit/tile adjoining bathroom including electrical provision for shower and whirlpool style bath.
4. Remove and make good all dado rail (2 rooms plus stairs and landings)
5. Convert master bedroom and en suite to large kitchen area.
6. Fit/tile kitchen.
7. Convert existing kitchen to master bedroom with en suite. Includes re-shaping a window.
8. Fit/tile en suite, with hidden mixer shower if possible
9. Rework central bathroom to utility room to house washing machine and spin dryer, plus fitting of wc and hand basin and tiling
10. Other details include provision for new lighting in bedroom/kitchen and placement of 'within ceiling' loudspeakers (for Sonos music system) in 2 to 4 rooms.
This was a fairly complex job which took place over three main stages. Communication was v good throughout; essential for a job of this type. We slept for several weeks in three different parts of the house as it was dismantled and rebuilt around us, including a relocation of the kitchen. I found Alan very easy to work with. He was always attentive to the details of our needs/requests and was the consummate professional throughout. Electrical and plumbing work was done v effectively by subcontractors.Tim
I want to create a double wide doorway from my kitchen to livingroom area which it through a breeze block wall - this wall could be semi structural and will need support girder. There will also be replastering and making good area as well as repositioning of some light switches and power sockets.
Completed the removal of a supporting wall between my kitchen & livingroom. DRB Carpentry quoted Job price, duration & specifications - Managed to finish the Job 3days early and to a higher standard than what I was expecting (I was expecting allot more mess - but DRB ensured that my house was left in the best posable condition everyday). Project management was amazing with best use made of every tradesman that was required and at all points kept me informed of how the project was progressing.Well deserved 5Chris
skim walls & ceilings, replace skirting boards and doors. Also considering new kitchen and bathroom - so potential installation too
Absolute Construction were able to offer us exactly what we were looking for without being over and above the budget we had. This allowed us to buy a house that had not been lived in for over two years and needed a good refurb to bring it into the 21 century and to the spec we wanted.
Dave and his team were able to offer us creative solutions to issues we had not considered and regular meetings ensured there were no surprises as the project progressed - would definitely recommend this firm!claire
removal of brick fire surround (it is a gas flew chimney only) and hearth and for wall and floor made good for redecoration
I rate this company very highly, they were very polite and helpful, they were careful and respectful, both men that worked on the job took pride in their work, they did another job for me at the same time, they removed stud walls and doorways to a high standard and re plastered to a very neat finish. They work hard and finish when they say will finish.I would definitely call on them again and will be recommending them to friends and family.Thank you to both of thempam
Reroofing and conversion of brick built out buildings into Home office. Dry linning and flooring. Fitting of electrics and shower & loo. New windows and doors.
Project
To convert three disused outbuildings into a usable space with power, heating and water. The uses could be for a home office, independent living accommodation or as a home cinema, garden or games room.
The project took six weeks to complete and was completed on time and to budget. The project was overseen by Shropshire Council Building Standards.
The work included striping off the roof and replacing with new, bringing three disparate floor levels into one and installing full plumbing, heating and electrics. The highest levels of insulation were achieved throughout the building.
A very satisfied Customer.Peter

We are buying a new home and need a builder to remove some internal walls some of which may be load bearing although I'm not sure. The walls to be removed are upstairs to knock out two walls 1. dividing the toilet from the bathroom and 2. between the bathroom and bedroom 3. We then need a one new stud wall put in after the toilet is moved to make bedroom 3 bigger.
Downstairs we need a wall removing between the kitchen and dining room to make one big kitchen diner. We need the internal walls knocked out at the back of the kitchen to remove the pantry, outside store and outside toilet.
Lastly downstairs we need to concrete floor raising after toilet is removed in the outside store and toilet to bring it into the kitchen.
We are looking for good quotes from local builders who are able to do the job quickly and possibly in phases depending on the cost.

4-5 bedroom two storey new build, with outdoor swimming pool, in brick, render, and stonework. Must have accesss to machinery for demolishin the house, and using the hardcore for new drive, etc and so crusher also useful. House will have Blockwork finish, roof tile finish, with trusses underneath (not Sips) . Would also consider wooden frame. approx 4000 sq ft, to include large windows in mullion stone finish. Plaster board walls, maybe concrete floor to first floor. As well as under floor heating we are using renewable energy, so builder must be up to date with these finishes. Would consider labour only quotation, owner will manage the job and supply all materials, through local merchants , as well as electrician and plumber although will consider builders own quotation. We are on a very tight budget. Interior finish will have stone floor downstairs, as well as some carpet, and some wood. Woodburning stove, and gas fire in two areas. Would possibly do concrete floor too. All wall finish may have spray paint finish. Good plasterer essential.
