knowck through downstairs walls to make one large kitchen/dinefr downstairs. Refit kitchen. Upstairs knowck through one room into new extension which will be master bedroom and en suite. 2 windows upstairs, patio doors and couple of windows downstairs. plaster finish, basic electircs, heating etc. Our house is only 3 years old. Would also like it finished by having patio layed in back.
Very happy with completed job. Scope of works finished on time and to agreed budget. Quality of works throughout is of very good standard and on site team were very tidy, courteous and professional. As we were living in the house with a young family while the work was happening this was very important. Overall very happy and would definitely use this company again. A job well done at a fair price.

repair following a water leak. Plumber had to seek access via the ceiling and also through the floor in the airing cupboard and also attempted to go through a floor board in a bedroom. Repair would involve replacing ceiling in hallway, skim ceiling, apply mist coat and paint. Remove and then replace light fitting after completing ceiling. Repair damaged floor board in bedroom and relay piece of carpet. Repair airing cupboard with a small piece of plasterboard probably 2 by 2 and short wooden baton
A very professional job. Very happy with finished work and certainly would use MacsBuilders again.

Have an existing small 'galley kitchen' (approx 2.4m x 1.6m) and a 'breakfast room' (approx 2.6m x 2.4m) on the ground floor on the ground floor of my 2 floor victorian semi-detached house. Looking to create a larger, family sized kitchen by combining these two rooms. The wall between the two rooms is a supporting external wall as the kitchen is only single storey, so suitable structural support would be needed where the ground floor wall is removed. The floor in the current kitchen is concrete and tile and would need to be raised up by about 150-200mm to match the rest of the ground floor rooms. The back door from the kitchen to the garden would also need raising up to match. Would like to remove the small plasterboard ceiling and open this area up to the monopitched roof above. In the breakfast room, existing suspended wood floor to be removed and concrete fill up to the same level (ground level approx 300mm below). There is a chimney stack which is to be removed from the Ground floor breakfast room, first floor bathroom and roof void above bathroom. There is no roof stack to support/remove (believe this was removed when roof was re-tiled). Once out, make good the wall and floor ceiling of the bathroom and breakfast room. The lighting locations and wall switches may need to be moved in the existing kitchen with wall and ceiling being removed and will therefore require a new main fuse box. Currently the boiler only does the central heating with a hot water tank providing hot water. Would like to replace this boiler to to the central heating and hot water. This is located in an out building next to the kitchen so would be a good time to replace it and fit new hot water pipe work into the kitchen and upto the bathroom. Basic drawings of existing and proposed available.

Rear attachment of house comprises kitchen and bathroom. Would like to increase size of bathroom by moving wall between the two rooms. Then refit bathroom and kitchen. Optionally, would like to move door from dining room into kitchen, block up back door (from kitchen) and add french doors in dining roon.

Our bedroom has a wardrobe (about 2.5 feet deep by 4 feet wide) that takes the space from the adjoining toilet. We want to knock down the walls (2 sides) and have more room in the toilet.
