Install a insulated stud wall and door/frame to our 4th bedroom which originally was designed as a dressing room. The approx size is 2m (w) x 2.5m (h). The flooring upstairs is textured porcelain (underfloor heated so not screwing to the floor) with matching skirting and the door and fittings are from one supplier. I will source these and therefore i am looking for labour costs only + building materials etc. Quotes should include construction and make good to high standard finish.I have some fittings/materials and would like the tradesman to supply others. A builder/carpenter was lined up to do this on Saturday 23 Nov but can't do it due to labour issues. We agreed a price of £750 for all his work and materials. I supply the door, liner, architrave, tile and fittings.

Echoing all of the previous great comments, Jack did an outstanding job on installing an internal wall and door/frame. He works efficiently and with precision, cleaning up as he goes along. He is also trustworthy and reliable. I would definitely recommend him as he is multi-skilled and competent in all building works including carpentry.

Modernize an old house which will include painting, decorating, putting up radiators, plastering, knocking through a wall to create a through lounge, drive, insulating the house, possible extention to the back of the house.

Repairing peppledash at rear of property which is a ground floor maisonette. Only half of the rear of the property needs repairing. Need a contractor who can repair the peppledash from start to finish.
Two jobs and two separate quotes. An old single garage with an asbestos roof has to be rebuilt, cement blocks at the moment but not worth putting a new roof on that. Also there is a flint wall and some steps at the front garden that will need work. Repointing the wall maybe or build a new one and add some York stones to the front steps. We need someone reliable, creative that will offer a warranty on his job and that we can trust as we shall be using and recommending such person for future jobs. No cash in hand before you start kind of people. We need to check your references or see some evidence of your good work as our is a big project, so you will be vetted and interviewed, is a job after all and we open our house to a complete stranger on the basis of some initial trust on their professional credentials. We would like to dig up the existing base for a garage (which has been knocked down)and replace it with a proper base, then build a garage.

The site is on a gentle slopping down ground so experience in a similar site would be preferable.
