Reviews of Builders in Kenton, Newcastle upon Tyne
2 August 2012
I just want to have a downstairs toilet. Probably a corner of the garage is the best place to construct it although it might be possible to convert the cloakroom cupboard by my front door if it weren't for the fuse box being in there.
Reliable and accessible every step of the way, all work clearly explained, itemised and costed by Jonathan from the outset so no unpleasant surprises. I was particularly appreciative of consideration shown for my own professional and domestic needs as I work from home and this was accommodated at all times. All of those involved from joiners to plasterers to decorator were obliging, polite and friendly throughout and as unintrusive as possible. I would certainly recommend and use again.
looking to knock wall down between kitchen and living room in a 1930's property to make open plan living area. I believe the wall may be load bearing. It is a recently purchased property and due to move in on the week beginning 25th Jan but will have access to look at work needed for a quote. Work would need to be done after this date, preferably early February. Wall length is approx 4m.
The work that was done was excellent. Builders always arrived early and kept me up to date as to what was being done at each stage. Sub contractors brought in were also excellent and the end result was better than expected.
The cost of the work was by far the best from 5 quotes.
I would recommend to anyone who is looking for work to be done.
I will be getting CJ Patterson Limited back to do further work in the future.
We have a hallway wall way adjacent to the garage and would like a fire door (with lock) cutting and fitting to access the garage from the hallway. The wall in question is single block work with plaster board on top, so a lintel would need to be fitted I think, with architrave and the area around the new door being made good.
Paul did a great job, was really helpful and tidy as he worked. Despite the job being bigger than we originally thought, he got it done as quickl as possible and was really flexible. We are really pleased with the work which is great quality - we would not hesitate to use Paul again - thanks

I would like to swap the side and way my kitchen door opens (it currently opens into the kitchen and I would like it to open into the lounge).
I have an inbuilt door frame and therefore it is not a case for switching the baton around, the frame needs to be removed another one put in (apparently!)
I am getting the lounge redecorated and therefore I am looking to get this done before the I get it redecorated. I would like the tradesman to supply all fittings/materials

I need a builder to carryout emergency ceiling repairs in my bedroom next to the door. The ceiling board and part of the insulation fell off, when my son stepped on it and it detached from the nails and broken while soring some stuff in the loft. This will be a temporary repair awaiting further advice from the tradesman. I anticipate the work will involve removing the remaining panel and fixing a new one, plaster the new ceiling. Timing: Urgently
extension and internal renovation
1. Remove internal non-loadbearing wall 8'5" H x 10'10" L and plaster raw edges.
2. Build window 2'6" x 2'6" in outside wall
Back door to be blocked up, outside rendered with pebble dash and inside boarded ready for plastering.
Take out internal structural wall to open up into kitchen diner. Also make a make a partition wall with door from hall into kitchen diner.
I have a boiler room that I am intending on converting into a bathroom. The room backs onto a cupboard and I would like the space knocking through and any necessary structural support put in place.
would like to extend the current garage on a 3 bed semi, length ways along the neighbouring wall. The current entry door and window would be moved out and re-used.
looking to add a rear kitchen extension and an extra room above garage on a 1930's semi.
