We have a terraced house and the back wall has a big bulge in it. We need to take the wall down and get it rebuilt. We also need a new garage door to be fitted and the wall around the garage door needs to be repaired!
C J Paterson put up a new garage door and repaird a backyard wall. Both the service and quality of work was really good, and Colin is a helpful and friendly guy. I would recommend these builders and use them again myself.

To Turn one room into two. Currently there is an office with a reception desk. we require a reception area and a separate office. One option is to turn it into two rooms as it is but there are problems regarding light access for the reception area. and it woudl be quite small. ONe option would be to turn a different room into two. with one being a reception area with a door to the second room which may need to be a sliding door for access. if this option is deployed we would then need to have the reception desk removed and made into a wll with a door making that into a room. Another option includes extending a current reception / Office into the foyer and turning it into two rooms including a reception area. There is a window next to the front door which would then become the window in reception thuse getting over the problem of natural light for that area. in all cases there would be a need to move the door entry system and would need additional electric sockets.

I am unsure what the extent of the damage is. The bathroom walls are all damp but have tiles over them, under the bath is damp (concrete) the room next door is damp and the walls are crumbling. It may have penetrated through to the kitchen but I cannot see as the walls are tiled and kitchen units are in the way.

To initially build a back wall (fairly urgent) to ensure security, with a gate/garage-style door fitted to ensure enough room for a car. A kitchen extension will be happening less urgently, and I would definitely use the same contracters if the work is done nicely!
