Primary job: knock through the wall separating the kitchen and living room, think this a supporting wall so will need supporting with an RSJ. Aim to make it an open plan ground floor
I live in a back to back terrace house, with a small rectangle kitchen adjacent to the the living room (to the left). there is a door way from the kitchen to the lounge - no actual door
Potential secondary jobs: remove kitchen cupboards, re-skim/ re-plaster all the walls once the wall is knocked through. Remove carpet
Knock down and remove debris of a pantry type room in the cellar
Alex and co are skilled builders who are honest, courteous, professional, competitively priced, on time and did a fantastic job producing a lovely new kitchen and building work!! He is a genuine guy to boot with a "nothing is too much trouble" attitude, who would always reply quickly and even at weekends however small the query. I was impressed you will be too!!Dmitri
Convert one bedroom (very approx 17ft by 15ft - not taking into account window bay) into two smaller bedrooms by splitting it along the length of the room. Partition wall will need building (with plenty of sound proofing!) There is a bay window at one end of the room. Electric will need re-arranging and additional lights and sockets installing. Might have to replace one radiator for two smaller ones. Will need to create small internal corridor for access to second bedroom. Will need additional door (if using existing door for one of the rooms). No plans, but have a sketch.
Turned up promptly. Spend a lot of time making sure he understood what I wanted. Made helpful suggestions. Quote was good and arrived promptly. When I do want this job doing, I'll be calling Steve first.Russell
To repair a broken window to garage, put in new pane of glass, make good and paint window frame
David rang me within half an hour of my posting, gave me a quote which was very competitive of which I accepted. He arranged to come the next day, which he did and at the allocated time. He did an excellent job, was very neat and tidy and he is a very nice friendly guy. I would certainly recommend him to my friends. Many thanks David.Sandra
This was as good as it gets - from a limited plan Level House constructed a very beautiful building. They were always on time, if the weather was bad (on only 2 occasions - they phoned to inform) and they came each day until the job was done. The price that was quoted at the start, which was fair, was stuck to. The quality of the workmanship was of a very high standard - choices of materials were discussed and agreed. Level House were also great to have around and importantly were friendly and considerate with neighbours. You will not be disappointed and I would be happy for you to view the work they did for us if you are considering them for your job. David
studd wall to block in staircase leading into lounge, room around 11ft
2 doorways arched, one from hall and one between lounge and dining room
Terry and his collegue built a stud wall and arched two doorways for us.
We were very pleased with the work and love our new rooms! We even changed our minds about the size of one of the arches once it had been built, they changed it for us the next day with no fuss.
Clean and tidy workers. Very freindly and efficient.
Terry is quoting us for more jobs. Would recommend to a friend.Lyndsey
I would like to convert a garage into a down stairs toilet and study/occasional bedroom. I need someone who can do a professional and high quality job.
Very professional and does everything possible to ensure that the client is satisfied. High standard of work and cannot fault his reliability. Also very flexible and went out of his way to do extra work. Uses high quality material and does work as if it were his own home. I would recommend him and will use him in future. We are very happy with our garage conversion and would highly recommend him!Emmanuel

Hi,
We are looking for a builder to build a single storey garden room extension across the back of our house (a standard North Leeds semi). We would like to knock the rear exterior wall through and also to knock the interior wall down between our kitchen and dining room to create one large room.
The extension is to be built in matching bricks to the house and will feature a sloping roof with 2-3 velux skylights. The sides will be solid brick with the exception of a small high level window on one side. The front will feature a bi-fold door or similar and step down on to the garden.
We would like to be left with a plastered shell ready for floor and kitchen fitting and require the work to be started end of May/early June for completion before the end of July.
We are looking for an accredited builder who takes pride in their work and offers a competitive price.
The property is located in Moortown and we would need to meet builders after 5pm on weekdays.
Many thanks,
Tom
