To knock through a large openeing from kitchen into dining room. Not taking the complete wall out but to knock a huge 'serving hatch' around 5ft by 3ft. To make wall good and plaster over.
Initially, Carl from CT Construction, replied to my posting for knocking a hole in the wall between my kitchen and dining room. When Carl turned up to quote me for the job I told him of my plans to knock the wall through and that I would be having a new kitchen fitted. Carl asked if he could quote for the kitchen fitting too as it would be cheaper having the job done altogether rather than separately. Within a day or so Carl had sent me an extremely reasonable quote and also sent me a date that he would be available to start and how long the job would take. I looked at the other postings on this site for CT Construction which were all very favourable and also it transpired the kitchen company from where I purchased my kitchen also knew Carl and highly recommended him to me as they have supplied him with many kitchens and seen the quality of his workmanship.
From first meeting Carl I could tell he was very genuine and that he took pride in his work. He was always here on time, he worked all day long and tidied up every day too! He kept us updated daily on what he was doing and sorted out skips, delivery of the units etc etc..., he would also offer alternative suggestions if he thought that some things may be better in different places or on lighting that would look good under units and so forth.
I cannot recommend Carl highly enough, it was refreshing to have a tradesman who treated the job as if he was doing it in his own house. We are hoping to have more construction work done in the future and CT Construction will be the only company we will be contacting.
