We can organize a builder to remove and tidy up the opening below the window but no major work is required as there is no change to the width therefore the current lintel should suffice. There is a possibility of making doors to suit IKEA carcasses or building carcasses from scratch. We envisage 3 x 1m wide cupboards with hinged 'shaker' style double doors on each with double draw units beneath and shelving above to ceiling height. The doors would be full height with a plinth a few inches inches high. At one end we would like some open shelving to fill the remaining 60cm wide space.
