I would like a quote for laying a wooden floor, possibly solid oak or engineered oak. The flooring would cover the hallway, dining room and living room.
Gary gave us a range of options and choices regarding our floor and was able to clearly outline the benefits and drawbacks of each option. He had no problem providing us with many different quotes at our request. He turned up on time, was tidy, knowledgable, punctual and polite, and he did an absolutely fantastic job. We're really pleased that we chose to use Gary and would have no hesitation recommending him to anyone considering using him.

We need a door fitted (we have the door), plus a frame and the top section above the door, it needs to be done asap, looking for someone who is cheap & reliable, it doesnt have to be perfect but it does need to be sturdy and the space its going into is very specific. Weve been told it isnt the easiest of jobs but it can be done, probably one days work if that.
Douglas was great and even worked around our poor old dog who decided to lay on the floor under his feet at times! Would definitely recommend him on to others, he talked us through the work, was good value for money & it was nice to have such a lovely chatty chap doing the job, we could not find a fault with him, if your looking for a good quality carpenter, look no further! :)

My 4-bed house has very squeaky floors upstairs. It's 12 years old with panel flooring rather than actual wooden boards. I think the panels are rubbing against each other and/or they are meeting between joists rather than over joists. The squeaking is especially pronounced in heavily-used areas such as the landing and main bedroom. I need someone to come and fix the squeaking before new carpets are laid. I imagine the panels need to screwed down without, obviously, hitting any pipes or electrics underneath.

Bi fold doors built in to dinning room and to 2 bedrooms. Usual fitting such as plasterboard and skimmed. There are some other things that need to be sorted such as blocking off door and fitted kitchen but the fitting of cupboard is priority. Not sure how much but either daily rate or total priced up job ex materials will do!
