(2) Fit basketball net to external brick wall. (3) Repair handles on kitchen drawer. (4) Reassemble metal and wooden shelving unit. (5) Hang picture and mirror. (6) If qualified, fit 2 chandeliers I am also searching for 2 strong men who can give me a quote for moving several large pieces of furniture around my flat. I cannot assist due to my poor health. Updated : Replacement of existing. Budget now £400. Pine not oak. Original : We need to replace the banisters and spindles on the landing at the top of the stairs. I want straight spindles and no twiddly bits! The space is about (not measured it properly yet) 1m x 3m. It is only on the top hallway landing as there are walls all the way down the stairs so no further work is required. Our budget is £200 maximum.
Ken was able to come and view to quote the job within 2 days. I had a qute by day 3. The job was completed at the end of the week and we are happy. Hoping to use himn for fitting the doors as well. Final price was within our larger budget.

Hi, I have fallen in love with one by a company called Jali but it is very expensive and also you have to fit it yourself
Matthew is a very personable young man and we accepted his quote. I particularly wanted the radiator grill to be from a company caled Jali. Matt actually made the radiator cover for us fromscratch; however there was a delay because he told us firstly that the radiator cover hadn't arrived from Jali, then said it had arrived and was damaged so it had to go backl. It transpired it hadn't even been ordered at that stage. Anyway, to cut a long story short, Matt fitted the cover minus the grille, whioch took another couple of weeks to arrive and get fitted. When I asked him why he had told such a cock and bulll story about the grille, he explained that he had wanted to be sure that the job was perfect and that everything fitted before ordering it. All in all would probably give him an 8 out of 10, but took so long - arrived at 8.20 p.m. to fit the grille and didn't leave until 10.45p. I think really it is down to his inexperience, but the radiator cover does look good even though the front will have to be unscrewed completely to get at the valve and isn't easily removable on magnetic catches as was advised initially. As I said though, a nice young man. PS What happened to the screw caps you were going to drop in?????!

Replace wooden staircase handrails and spindles only with new, retaining existing newel posts and framework. This involves a 3 section staircase (main, short dog leg and landing). There are currently 36 square spindles. These are to be replaced with turned oak spindles. The handrail should be in a matching oak finish. The newel posts and framework will be sanded down and painted (by owner). There is also some remedial work to bottom stair.
