Budget Under £1,000

Job I need a new front door, frame, lock and furniture. The current door is splintered and the frame is cracked and needs replacing. I want a hardwood door with glass in the upper half and solid below. I also would like two coats of wood stain in a mahogany style colour. I need two numbers and letter box in silver and a new lock. I would like a quote in writing and an estimate of timescale please. Timing: ASAP

Budget Under £2,000

Job 1. The first job is to replace banisters and spindles on existing staircase, utilising existing newel posts. All the oak Richard Burbidge equipment is acquired and on site. 2. Construct two units/cupboards under stairs for storage, and to house existing fuse box & gas meter. 3. Replace 7 internal doors, replacing old lightweight doors with new oak veneered solid doors. We wish to reuse the existing door frames. 4. Boxing in of 2 sets of vertical copper pipes in living room.

Comment Stuart did a fantastic job - we've rebooked him for our next project. A pleasure to work with, clearly a master craftsman and really friendly. Job involved fitting 8 oak doors to our existing crooked frames - I'm amazed at result, new oak bannister and spindles to old stairs (working with existing newell posts - flawless), finally, boxing in vertical and horizontal copper pipes and making a bespoke cupboard to hide cable modem (lots of tricky angular work, very neat job).
