Need a quote to replace and fit 2 fence panels and 4 wooden posts in my garden.
Very impressed with punctuality of quote and competitive price. I had a fence falling down at one of my properties (which I couldn't come to see, and he liaised with my tenant and next door neighbour), he sorted out the problem with no headache usually associated with builders. I have a balcony which is in need of complete repair. It's completely rotten and unsafe to walk onto. It's letting water seep into the area below near the light fitting and sometimes into the outside door area next door. The adjoining balcony (next door property) has been replaced & copied using similar treated external timber and lead fittings from W.G Burbridge Timber Yard. It also needs priming, undercoating and glossing in external Brilliant white. I live in London & work on ships so you would have to liaise with my tenants as to using power points etc.(The tenants are friendly and usually in all day at weekends). The work needs to be guaranteed against water penetrating the underneath of the balconies of both properties (ie, watertight). My main hope is it looks just how it was when you started (ie, what you remove, you replace with similar only treated with the only exception not to use roof felt as this won't last long when people walk onto it + being able to liaise in a sensitive manner with my tenants and neighbour. **There was no drop down box option for normal open out/in windows, these are NOT sash windows with lead weights or cords** Just bog standard 1950's windows.
I have a small 3 bed semi in 5 Crawford Road, Broadstairs CT10 2BB which needs it’s 3 front and 1 side wooden windows repairing.
There are patches of rot in area’s where the water has soaked in (to be chased out and Technifill 2 part fill filler to be applied), plaining of certain windows to make them open and close easily. Also strips of wood added where too much wood has been removed from the windows in the past.
In short, my tenants (and myself) need windows that do not allow the wind or rain to penetrate the inside. It should take one day maximum to carry out these adjustments.
The remit is to make sure they can open and close the windows and have no draughts or rain come into the house.
The front door also needs a weatherboard at the bottom fitted (which the tenants have) and make sure the front door is also draught proofed/watertight. I have other properties in the area and if you carried out a good job I would happily use you for these properties.
