We have a few jobs in need of an experienced carpenter: 1. We have an existing kitchen cupboard which needs to be adapted to accommodate our new boiler - we think it is possible to cut out the bottom of the carcass to allow it to fit. 2. Our external french doors no longer close properly. We think they may have dropped on hinges as they drag at the bottom. We've sanded but hasn't helped. The seals have now come off and drafts get through. 3. We have antique locks on our internal doors, and the doors do not close properly. We were told that we could potentially recondition the locks but we need further advice and help to fit, etc. If you can help with any of these 3 jobs, please get in touch! I appreciate they are slightly varied, but I think an experienced joiner/carpenter could help with all?
Stephen was a lifesaver for us after being let down by other tradesmen. He completed a few 'difficult' jobs (plumbing, building, doors/locks), where others said it was not possible. He offered simple and creative solutions, and was meticulous in his work. When he came across poor workmanship, he fixed it (burying exposed cable into wall, connecting rangehood, filling gaping holes in brickwork from poor plumbing practice in the past). We asked him to do more jobs already, and recommend him highly.

Updated : Wood to replace the doors. hinges, handles. paint walls at the back of the cupboards Original : have 3 doors under the stairs which all need replacing. also need new shelves inside the cupboards as the exisitng ones all sag down so need stronger wood.

I would not hesitate to recommend him. The job was more difficult than expected but he handled it in both a professional and relaxed manner. He was warm and friendly but worked hard as well.

Very responsive and friendly - delivered on job very quickly and did everything by time he said he would. One of shelves is not quite how we would have liked it but appreciated there were limitations to work around
