Wooden staircase repair and replacement in Askew
"Was pleased with the work. Ian gave a prompt, competitive quote, followed it up and kept me updated about the job before it happened (stairs being made etc.). The new stairs look good. He was on time on the first day and worked through. Traffic made him a bit later on the second day, but the job was finished within 2 days - which helps when you have to take time off work.
His description with the quote was that it was a two man job for one day, one man for one day, and that was what he'd based the rate on, but actually there was only half a day where two people were there. We did ask him about that as I thought the quote might go down slightly, but it didn't and we did pay him the amount originally quoted. One slight quibble - I found the rubbish/old carpet outside when I got home but his quote said removal was included - annoying as I don't have a car and share the front garden. Was a bit disappointed so texted him. He said he'd forgotten and then he removed it at the end of the week, which I was pleased about."
