The three doors to our dustbin cupboard need to be replaced. The interior of the cupboard needs to be cleaned out with stuff like old paint pots taken away and disposed of properly.
Highbird proved professional, reliable and very pleasant to work with; willing to listen and willing to make (very helpful) suggestions. They completed the work quickly and to a very high standard, with proper attention to safety and Council regulations where appropriate. They also undertook extra tasks beyond the scope of this one. We would have no hesitation in recommending Highbird and we would be more than happy to have them here again.Len
Cupboard door is sticking due to the baul catch and keep needing some alteration. The handle has also come off and needs replacing.
I am also looking for a reliable, honest and not too expensive carpenter who can in future sort out any carpentry problems at our rental properties in Notting Hill and Clapham. For example, I will in the coming weeks need to replace the external timber sill to the kitchen window. There are however security bars that will need removing to do the job and then be put back on afterwards.
Would certainly recommend Paul. He did a good job fixing my cupboard door. He did not over charge and I will use him again.matthew
Build and fit two nice cabinets, one to hide tv wiring and connect to a conduit, and have a nice surface for a dvd; the other to hold a wireless router hub. Both to be fitted to the wall above the skirting board. There are two small other jobs to do: eg some shelving for towels in an airing cupboard, and adjust two ceiling lights (they are not square to the ceiling)
I would recommend Nathani Construction highly. Mr Nathani came round almost immediately and discussed what needed to be done. I added quite a bit to the above - the re-siting of a difficult to get at cornice, the rehanging of a door, replacement of bath overflow, the replacement of an internal window with plasterboard and the making good of a back wall. His firm could start the following week, and supplied me with an extremely reasonable quote, with careful detailing of the works to be done, and stuck to that quote. The work was well-done and the workmen were quiet and very carefully tidied away mess in the afternoon. I was delighted and I will definitely get them back if I have more work to be done.Stephen
A cabinet of appox 120x60x36cm to enclose new boiler in the kitchen. Frontage to be easily removable panel, not a door.
We can't recommend Raf highly enough. He's professional, punctual and polite and his work has been exemplary. His rates are very affordable and overall, we have been nothing but impressed with him.Mark
We live in a 1950's purpose-build ex-council block of flats. We need all of the skirting boards and architraves removed and replaced with new ones which have been stained (not painted) a dark Walnut colour. We also need all of the internal hollow doors to be replaced with solid wood doors which have been stained to match the other woodwork. Our flat includes 2 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, bathroom with separate very small WC, and a hallway.
We were very pleased with the work David and his trusty sidekick, Anthony, carried out in our flat. David's initial visit and quotation were both very professionally completed. He was willing to work around my schedule and meet me for a quotation at my home in London in the very late afternoon even though he works out of Stevenage.
Because of a misunderstanding about the extent of the woodwork that I wanted changed in our home, a significant amount of work was added to the job compared to what David had initially anticipated. Nevertheless, the price increase was reasonable for the extra materials and labor. Furthermore, David and Anthony worked very hard to complete their phase of our redecoration in time to meet the original deadline, and even went so far as to offer to work an extra day on a Sunday in order to give the woodstain time to dry on our skirting boards before the new carpet went down.
David's manner is very friendly, open, and approachable. When there were things about the work with which I was not 100% satisfied, he remedied the situation happily and without complaint. When I pay someone to work on my home, I feel that I have every right to be very picky about the quality of the work. David never made me feel as if I were asking too much.
David and Anthony tried to be as tidy as they could while going about their work. They hoovered up as much sawdust as possible after every day that they were in the flat. They also were willing to handle small extra tasks without any extra charge, such as taking up our old laminate flooring, which we had intended to do ourselves. David even made the very good suggestion that we try to e-Bay the old flooring rather than just throwing it away, as it was still of fairly decent quality, having been lain by the previous owners only a few years ago.
If you want a carpenter who is friendly and approachable, who is willing to work around your schedule and individual needs, and who does not charge extortionate rates, then David is your man. I recommend him very highly.A
We require a new counter top which is curved at the end to be cut from a 3 x 1.5m piece of mdf, fitted to the existing counter and finished ready to paint.
They fulfilled our requirements and they rectified anything we weren't happy with at no extra charge.
Our only criticism was they didn't stick to the time they said they would arrive, but having arrived they worked right through till the job was finished. Apart from the original job we engaged them for they returned to complete two more. It is likely we will use them again in the future.Peter

I am looking for a carpenter, for my new home in West London, during the summer months.
I will need the following:
1) The hallway is 12ft long and will need bespoke shelves designed and fitted into it. This will probably be MDF, that I can paint afterwards.
2) The living is room is long and narrow, and will need shelves and/ or cabinets designed and built along the 25ft wall. This is likely to be in wood veneer.
3) The master bedroom has fitted cupboards that I may be able to alter or add to, OR they may need to be knocked down and built from scratch (TBC). These will be MDF, that I can paint afterwards.
I am project managing this myself, so need an excellent and cost effective carpenter. I look forward to hearing from you.

A cupboard space that held a micro/oven which broke, needs altering to fit the new microwave oven. The kitchen cupboard is ikea... so unscrewing the base of the cupboard and moving it up and possible cutting the underside of the door is all that would be required.

Handyman, lots of little chores needed, baby proof flat, fix doors, put up bookcases, help 'fix things', nothing fancy, but help quickly for cash. Thanks. General other things too. Must be reliable and honest please. More and more work for the kind person, local tradesman only (someone with patience and polite). Can store tools and park and use this place as a base, must not be someone who says will come and then does not text or help.

The doors would be to cross a room width of 4.6meters.
And finally potentially I would like the floor laminating with new fake wood laminate. The surface area is 368 square feet.
And a previous fitted structure removing. And I would like to know how much each would cost and how long it would take.
