Hi, I'd like a new loft hatch & ladder fitting. Seen a loft hatch I'd like to fit from Wickes with a wooden ladder. It is designed for houses with standard 600mm joists, we live in a 1905 terraced house with 400mm ish joist separations. Require someone experience to create a new loft opening with appropriate supports after cutting through joists to accommodate, then fit hatch.
Brian fitted a new loft hatch and ladder for me and did a great job. Was fitted promptly and didn't exceed quote despite additional work being required. Friendly honest guy who was happy to give me advice on how to strengthen my loft space as I lay down boards. Highly recommended.

Recently moved and can't fit a cherished piece of furniture up the stairs into our new flat. It's a shelving unit which appears to be mainly glued with some points screwed as well. It'll be 6' x 4' but hoping to dismantle just enough to get it in then reassemble as necessary. Hoping this won't be a big job to be honest!

I have an original wooden external front door which I would like installing. The door needs firstly to be sanded down/a little bit of filling. I would like two glass panels (single pane) fitting where there are currently two wooden panels. It then needs resizing to fit the door frame (I know it has got to lose 6cm in height, possibly a little bit it width as well), locks (both yale and chubb) need fitting, a letter box hole needs cutting and then fitting. The door frame will also need some door trim at the bottom. There might also need to be some work done on the door frame. I already have the locks, letter box etc, but the new glass panels would need to be supplied as part of the job.
Keith did a brilliant job and my front door looks amazing. I was so pleased with the work done. Hopefully Keith will do some more work at my house. Thanks.

Build a large set of shelves across a whole wall and around a doorway. I want the set of shelves to house CDs, DVDs, books etc. The wall is approx 6ft wide and 8ft high. I would like the quote for materials and supply them as well. If this job works out well, I need a front door replacing (with an original door) and a floor sanding and polishing. These would obviously need a separate quote. I'd be grateful if someone could get in touch. Thanks.

We'd like a small wooden cupboard built under the stairs. Space is approx: Depth - 31 inch Length - 53 inch. With 3 or 4 doors facing out. Also we are after a cupboard built at the top of our stairwell that we access from cupboard doors in the wall of the room upstairs - would require cutting through plasterboard currently in place. If you can let us know if you can come down to view the areas so we can thoroughly explain what we're after - that would be great. Ideally any evening after 6pm would be best for visit. Thanks

I have recently moved into a turm of the century end terrace. The floorboards on the 1st floor (2 bedroom and a landing) are very uneven. I have taken the carpet fully back in one of the bedroom and maybe 6-7 of the boards are either very badly worn/badly fitted. I am assuming it is a similar situation in the other room from walking around and feeling where the floor 'falls away in places'. I would like to get two quotes. One for just replacing those broken/loose boards to 'smooth out' the really bad areas and a second if we were just to completely plyboard the whole of the area to get it completely level. Both bedrooms are approx 4m x 4m and the landing is about 1m x 3m
