Absolutely brilliant. Punctual, hard working and it was a difficult job to create and fix a large dovecote to my wall. Also three other jobs completed very well.

We are re-decorating a bedroom and need a new door and frame as well as new skirting board. While we are about it we were also thinking of replacing 4 other doors and possibly the frames where they need it. Incidentally we are also putting down a laminate floor in the bedroom so if you do that sort of work as well please include that in any quote.
Good work and cleaned up after the job removing all rubbish. Definately reccomended.

I want to have a long chest of drawers made. It's a replica of my sisters old bank of drawers that originally came out of an old workshop. It is about 2.4m long x 30mm deep and 900 high. There are about 32 drawers. I will age, varnish and put the handles on. I have full detailed drawings that I have done. They can be any cheap wood but can't be mdf or anything that looks modern. They will be in two parts but the top is one piece. I will collect. The ones I want to copy are not dovetailed, the are a basic construction and although I want them to be sturdy and wood there is no finess - that is the appeal. This site asks me for a budget which is really hard because I don't know your day rates or how many days it would take. So I have guessed a day rate and amount of time I think it could take and calculated timber cost via one of the big stores (which I know are pricy compared to timber merchants. I realise too that you will need the drawings but if you contact me I will send them. The software forces me to guess to arrive at the 'what is your budget? Answer

The hall is approx 220 x 400 and it has a dark varnish on it. I want this sanded off and a light stain put on.
Nice simple transaction. I had given sufficient details online for him to send me an email with his quote without coming to look at the job. I accepted the quote, we arranged a date and it was all done and dusted within days. He was cheerful, efficient, obliging and has done a really lovely job. Thoroughly recommend him, in fact, he's coming back to do another job for me next week. Oh, yes.... he didn't bring a radio and blast me out with pop music either.... great!
