I have 5 internal wooden doors that require sorting out - shaving to ensure they close properly, and the knobs require sorting out as they are in danger of falling off (and my previous half-arsed attempts to solve have not worked!). At the moment 2 will not close, and the other three are difficult to close. The doors all face onto the hallway of our flat so ideally we would like the knobs to match in this room - we have some 'spare' brass knobs which could be used on the other side of the doors. I have selected 'under £250' as a price range as I had a door shaved last year by carpet fitters for £20 - but given a choice of quotes I will choose based on price, previous ratings,ability to find mutually convenient date for work etc.

My window is a Victorian bow and was a real mess...John came and assessed the job promptly, gave me a date and time for the work , turned up exactly when he said and did a fantastic repair, he is honest, reliable, and knows what he's doing, I would have no hesitation in recommending him for any joinery problems you have in your home. Very large upholstered traditional sofa. Needs disassembly to get into house, then reassembly. Probably just needs the back of sofa removing, or maybe the arms.
This guy has been brilliant. We are very very pleased with the work Brandon did. This was a difficult, faffy job that we didn't receive any quotes on initially, probably because it was an upholstery job as well as a joinery job, and we were struggling to find anybody to do it. Brandon came to look at it and gave us a straightforward assessment of what he thought he could manage, and was very honest about upholsterly not being his specialist trade. However, he agreed to give it a go, and was willing to put himself out and "think outside the box" about how he could help with it. His price was very fair.He kept me informed of any changes to his schedule, he turned up when he said he would, worked tidily and cleared everything away himself . And it worked!!! We now have our sofa out of the garage and in the house at last. We give him full marks for everything, and will definitely contact him again for joinery work , and highly recommend him to anybody else wanting a good reliable joiner who is willing to go the extra mile.

The steps into our cellar are rotten and need replacing. The old staircase is still in place and could be used as a template - but will need removing as part of the job.
Came and provided good quote on time and kept in touch to let me know what was happening. Completed the job on time, no fuss, no mess - excellent service all round. I would happily recommend Barry to others.

Original : I have 2 alcoves in the living room that require shelving and a cabinet at the bottom of each.
