I would like to be priced up for a straight forward loft conversion of a room only with velux's. No bathroom and no Dormer. For a two bedroomed cottage. Drawings are available to view.
Budget of £20,000 approx.
I could not recommend Nick and his team any higher. Fantastic workers, very reliable, honest and reasonably priced too. Thank you for doing a great job!Patrick

Exterior redecoration and any necessary repairs (such as guttering, fascia and sills) of terraced house in Branscombe. The house is 3 storey at the rear and side so scaffolding will be required. Also, the work needs to be completed by July 15th 2012.
Dale and his team did an excellent job under difficult circumstances. Despite a tight deadline and dreadful weather, the exterior work was completed on time and to a high standard. Dale kept us informed of progress on a daily basis: all the neighbours were very impressed by the quality of the work and the efficiency of Sure Build. Highly recommended.Joss

Remedial work to a flat roof mostly to cure damp patches adjacent to chimneys and guttering
I had a really positive experience with Dale and his team. I asked him to quote for some very specific roofing work and he delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. Efficient, tidy and polite, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Surebuild.Rhys

Hot & cold water system, pipework, fit bathroom suite & kitchen plumbing.
Prompt contact and quote. Excellent advice, answered all calls & e-mails. It's so nice to have a tradesman who is positive, helpful, happy in his work, does an excellent job and keeps to the price quoted. I had 6 plumbing quotes for a fairly complicated job, not knowing which hot water system to choose. This plumber finally made the job seem simple & reduced my stress levels! - I can highly recommend the West Country Plumber and would definitely use again.Jo

This man is a legend - couldn't do enough to make sure that the job was done to requirements, and very friendly throughout, consulted every step of the way. Service this good is very rare. Job done was a good one and good rates too - cannot recommend him enough.Beverley

We have a medium-sized garden, which was regularly maintained until May 2008, so should not take much to knock back into shape. Previous gardener let us down and as this is our 2nd home we are not on hand to do job ourselves. Large hedges either side need trimming urgently and lawn needs mowing (can provide email photos). We will need ongoing regular, reliable help with our garden which involves mowing a slow-growing lawn, trimming hedges and shrubs and weeding. There is also a build up of garden waste at the bottom of the garden and we would like this taken away at some point if possible.
The job was done to my satisfaction and, while not cheap, it was well done, on the appointed day. I have engaged Grahams Gardening to continue with the ongoing maintenance of my garden as I felt they did a good job and can provide a comprehensive service which includes one-off large jobs and ongoing maintenance.Madelaine

Rough cast - good condition but needs smartening up - two painted chimneys need attention - seagulls! (Not all of the property needs painting - new bits are OK - just the original house.)
Very nice people. Job OK. Took a long time due to late start each day (often approaching mid-day). Good value for money and totally trustworthy.Roger
You have a home improvement job and you need a recommended tradesperson to do it.
Rated People is here to help:
Get the recommended tradesperson you need with Rated People. Simply let us know about your project in the form above and we’ll do the rest.
Sometimes it can be difficult to decide what sort of tradesperson to get for what kind of job. Do you use a plumber or a heating engineer for gas fittings and repairs for example? Do you use a builder or a carpenter for a loft conversion?
On larger projects, you'll find a number of different tradespeople with numerous different skills working together. So for a loft conversion, the main person you'd employ would be a qualified builder but that builder will have to get in electricians, carpenters and perhaps plumbers depending on what purpose your new conversion will have.
For gas installation and repair, as long as the plumbing or heating engineer is registered on the Gas Safe register (previously Corgi although it's still called Corgi in Northern Ireland) you can be sure that they are the right person for the job and can legally carry out gas works on your property.
The main piece of advice is to look at the past experience of the tradesperson you employ as this will give you a clearer picture of the sort of work he or she is capable of carrying out.
