Please can you help.
We have just had a nightmare at our home. Our stack pipe from upstairs was blocked, after many attempts to clear the blockage we were succesful. But in doing so se suspect that we have damaged the pipe exiting our home which runs to the drain. This damage is evident as when we searching for the damaged section of the pipe we dug holes in the garden but were unable to locate the pipe, our plumber who cleared the blockage had the idea of putting a dye into the stack before the blockage to see if any water was getting through. when the plumber jetted the pipe the dyed water came up in the holes that we dug suggesting a damaged pipe underground. The drain is 6ft deep in our garden and we have been unable to locate the pipe. rather than dig up our garden i am looking for a more affordable method to resolve the damaged pipe. The blockage is clear and all water is draining but we want to be sure the underground pipe is water tight before we repair the damage in the garden and fill in the holes. Please can you talk me through the option of repairing the pipe without digging up and replacing it. Thanks.
