"HDS completed part A of the project. The work completed wasn't exactly what I requested, but I am mostly happy with the result. The caveat is that they left a total mess (a large pile of dirt) in my kitchen and have not been back to clear it in the past 2 weeks. Upon speaking to them I was told to clear it myself. I do not feel this is professional. Also, the concrete floor DPM was broken to lay the drain and it seems that it has not been replaced which may have long term implications. Digging a hole will confirm this. If HDS had returned to complete the job (part b) as promised and specified in the emailed agreement, I would have rated them a bit higher. However, it has now been 2 weeks and HDS did not show up or call to reschedule depite many emails and phone calls. When speaking to them, I had been told that they had a huge backlog of work all of a sudden due to the rain and that their people will not work in the rain. This is a poor excuse in my mind because in my case, they were working on drains which remove water and the work is not dependent upon dry conditions and also because I specified that part b had to be done immediately upon completing part A. In the end I needed the work done and they ducked out and did not fulfill the agreement. As HDS refused to email me a 100% guaranteed confirmation of when they'd return to complete part b, I am not having them back and am closing the job to them. The only caution I will give to people is be 100% certain you have HDS agree on a diagrammed specification and that this diagram be 100% of the specification, as verbal misunderstandings and nuances can cloud the job requirements. Also be sure to get a signed invoice. "
