Complete rewire and possibly fittings for a 3 bedroom semi-detatched house in south east Bristol. This is a 1940's house that has had some rewiring but mostly older wiring still in place. Has an old fuse box and old fittings. Will require new consumer unit, testing and certification.
James has done an excellent and professional job in re-wiring my stepmother's house. Nothing has been too much of a problem in sorting out any questions following the installation. I would recommend him to any of my family or friends.,

I need a light fitting secured on the dining room ceiling which has come unattached and in a bedroom I need a chanderlear style light fitting taken down and replaced with a standard light fitting for a single bulb which I can use a shade with.

to put in a cooker cable from main box to cooker

I need a new electric oven installed in existing built-up units. The 6mm cable for the old cooker connection point comes straight through the wall but is too high for the new cooker. In order to be sited in the safe zone for the new cooker the cable needs to extend 300mm vertically down. Because it's not practical to run a new length of cable I believe that regulations would allow an extenstion of cable off of the existing, connected with crimping and heat shrink connectors.

1) Bathroom extractor fan (Manrose) not working. Isolation switch outside bathroom door, usually switched on with bathroom light (which still works). 2) Living room ceiling lights not working. Halogen spots (2 sets, 4 on each) operated from dimmer on wall. Checked and changed bulbs just in case, still not working. 1st floor flat, owner occupied. Property under 10 years old, another flat above ours, neighbours garage below.
