Services required: Electrical Installation Condition Report Additional information: I am in the process of buying a 5-bed 1890 built terraced house on Gloucester Road. The house has a a mixture of old and new electrics, with a new consumer unit downstairs. However, it is currently split into a dentists downstairs and a separate flat upstairs. I will be returning the house into one residential dwelling, but need understand what might be done to the electrical systems to achieve a single system which is compliant with current regs. I am therefore guessing that what I need is an electrical safety check and some advice about what work will be required to achieve my aim. I am off work this Wed and am keen to get a quote if you have time to visit the property. We will look to get any required works immediately on exchange, which is expected to take place in March. Install 1 x light fitting, 3 x power sockets Additional information: Installing new power sockets in advance of a new kitchen being fitted as well as whatever is required for new under cabinet lighting (some wiring already in place but not sure if it can be re-used) and possibly new main light fittings I'd like the tradesman to supply the items to be installed Property style: Suburban
Services required: Electrical Installation Condition Report Additional information: The primary job is to complete an Electrical Installation Condition Report.
This is for a 3-bed victorian terrace house built 1914. Partially rewired and inspected in 2006. Downstairs bathroom with approved electric bathroom heater, kitchen with gas cooker and lounge being used as a bedroom. 3 bedrooms upstairs. The only electrical appliances to be tested are the Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine, Dishwasher and Gas cooker/oven.
Minor works (e.g. replacing a light switch and possibly installation of additional wall sockets) will be needed on site at the same time as the inspection.
Please give an estimate for completion of the Electrical Installation Condition Report alone and an estimate for the replacement of two light switches.
I'll need to verify your registration for Part P of the Building Regulations. Property style: Period

I have got underfloor heating in my bathroom and it isn't working...the lights are on but there is no heat! It is a tiled floor.
Install 2 x light fittings Additional information: We simply require ceiling light fittings in three rooms to be moved to the centre of each room.
The fittings are there but it's the physical job of moving them and lengthening the wiring. I'd like the tradesman to supply the items to be installed Property style: Suburban
repair/replace sensor/garden light.
Install 1 x extractor hood (cooker), 1 x induction hob, Double oven Additional information: Replacing my kitchen - a number of tasks will need to be performed, and I'll try to summarise here:
Currently, there are three plug sockets on the general downstairs socket circuit. There is a connection for the current free-standing oven, which feeds back to a 32A MCB on the CU.
The free standing overn is going to be replaced with an eye-level double oven (Hotpoint DBS539CXS, 18A rating) and a separate induction hob (Hotpoint CIA641CS, 31A rating). My understanding from the regs is that I may need these to sit on two separate circuits (both over 2KW draw?) so I'd need a new circuit wired back to the CU.
Additionally, I'm having a built-in dishwasher fitted and I have a freestanding washing machine that currently hasn't got a suitable socket near to it. These need their own sockets added to the ring and hidden away. Similar thing for the free-standing fridge/freezer
My kitchen is also coming with under-cabinet low voltage lighting (B&Q issued triangular lights - haven't got those codes to hand).
I'd also like to move the current sockets at the worktop level and possibly add one in.
I am aware of the need for Part P qualification in Kitchen installations, but I would like to do as much stuff on my own as possible - even if it is just chasing the cables into the wall (they are currently set out in trunking) - but if we can come to any kind of arrangement for me running the cables before you make a final connection, I would be interested. If this is not possible, that's fine - just tell me so!
Might be helpful to know that the current electrical install is a 16th Ed. install with the downstairs circuits on an RCD. That side of the CU has two blank MCB slots. The board itself is Memera 2000 AD model (in case we need to add stuff to it)
I have a kitchen fitter already, and expect the main install to happen in early-mid November. I anticipate the electrics to happen on two fixes, one to get the sockets in place and one to make the final connections. Expect we can discuss this when you come to quote I will supply the items to be installed Property style: Suburban
