Budget Under £1,000

Job Yesterday I lost power to all of my ground floor sockets except one. I called an emergency electrucian who says the fuse box etc is working fine and it must be a cable fault somewhere in the downstairs sockets. I need someone who can diagnose and resolve this please.

Budget I'm not sure

Job - To replace a 1980's style fuse box, with modern unit. - To remove wall lights and alter wiring to support a ceiling style light and add new switch. - Whilst the floor is up in the lounge, advise on necessary cable requirements for a future new kitchen.

Budget I'm not sure

Job We have recently converted a large bedroom into a smaller bedroom and bathroom. There was a small light and switch feeding a cupboard in the hall that has all been removed (the cable for the lighting circuits remains avove in the loft). We will need a new pull-chord / transformer unit / low energy spot lights etc that are compliant with being in the bathroom (possibly one above shower). Also we need an extractor fan fitting into the loft and through the wall, as well as the shaver point (hole and cable in the wall), connecting to light circuit. Thankyou.

Comment Decent guys who did a very good job of fitting the bathroom lights / extractor fan / shaver socket etc. Their work cannot be faulted. However, they failed to come back to finish the job - despite several promises via email. I ended up having to complete the work myself which was somewhat disappointing. Glen

Job We have a problem with the socket which we plug our washing machine into. It has started to make a buzzing noise and the socket now no longer works.
