I have dismantled a broken Xpelair DX100T leaving a 100mm hole in the bathroom ceiling. Directly above the hole (via the loft space), a venting roof tile with a round 100mm connector still has 80cm of flexible 100mm pvc hose attached in readiness for the replacement fan. Currently power is controlled by a on/off pull-cord with red and black cables reaching the hole in the ceiling. I have purchased a replacement Xpelair DX100T from ScrewFix however I am happy to return this if another model is recommended? I require the extractor fan to be fitted into the existing hole in the ceiling and connected to the mains so that the timer switch operates (it never worked on the now broken unit). I'm unsure whether or not 80cm of loft space requires an extractor fan condensation trap to be installed?
Ian's quote was extremely competitive and the job was completed entirely to my satisfaction. I would be happy for Ian to do more work for me at some time in the future
