Budget Under £100

Job The lights in the bathroom and kitchen go off at times when they are still switch on. A light in the bedroom burnt out too..not sure of the cause. We were told it was rewired in 2000 when the flat was renovated (before we bought it) Hopefully it is loose connection but I was wondering if any vermin could have got in the loft and knawed at wires. The access to the loft is above the front door of the flat. We need advice as to what needs doing then an estimated costing. Thank you.

Budget Under £1,000

Job We are moving into a new flat and need to have circuit breakers fitted to bring the system up to current safety standards. We would also like a quote for installing an additional light fixture in the ceiling of the living room, installing a socket for an internet TV and installing a shaver power socket in the bathroom. We are completing this Friday - 17th February - and would like to begin work as soon as possible as we are keen to get on with other projects and the electrics need to be done first. Many thanks

Comment Bob changed a circuit board for us and also moved a telephone wire, changed some plug sockets and altered some pendant light fittings so they conformed to legal requirements. He did a great job and completed the work in the time he said it would take. He was punctual, tidy and extremely professional. He was also very helpful and knowledgeable. Job a spot light in 2 separate rooms (& circuits) isn't working. the rest of the lights in the room work, but after changing the bulbs these aren't working.

Budget I'm not sure

Job Bathroom has an extractor fan in place but although it turns on, it no longer appears to be extracting any steam from the bathroom. Assume I need a replacement extractor fan, although it may just be a case of doing something with the current one?
