When I moved into this house the previous owners removed not only the light shades but the fittings as well, so I need a number of lights fitted. A shelf in the kitchen which has a light inside it needs fixed. I would also like a dimmer switch fitted. There was two security lights fitted outside by a previous builder which have never worked properly so I would also like these checked. Finally, I would like the electrics checked in my hall cupboard as putting on a number of electrical items at the same time seems to cause a short.
I arranged to have three quotes for the electrical work I needed to have done and Michael's quote was the best overall. He came out a week later and carried out most of the work. He will be back to finish a couple of jobs. So far he's been very efficient with no time wasting at all. I've been impressed with his work and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

We have an old style fuse box with wire fuses and we are without power to the overhead lights. All of the other sockets appear to be working and I've checked the fuses which seem fine. The power seems to be all running off 30 amp fuses which I know isn't right. I need a quote to either fix the immediate problem but also replace the box with a newer unit.
Turned up within an hour to quote and was back the next morning to complete the work. I was pleased with the job and I would use him again

Some of my IP65 bathroom recessed sealing downlights do not always work. I have replaced the lights but the problem has not gone away. I feel the transformers are not working properly and may have to be changed.
I did manage to solve the problem myself and did not require an electrician but 2 core electric were very friendly over the phone and came out as the cheapest of the 2 quotes I had.

I am needing to get a new fusebox / consumer unit installed in my flat as I have been told previously that the one I have is out of date and probably doesn't comply with new legislation.
