Excellent response and investigation into the problem which was not straighforward, issue resolved and a couple of additional electrical issues sorted out for me. Would recommend.

1 Light fitting needs replacing.
Good communication with making and rearranging appointment, arrived as scheduled, did the job that was asked to a high standard, also helped us out with another minor job that he suggested he could do for us, which helped us out. Only negative feedback was the unclear pricing structure for the jobs undertaken. But I do recommend his services and we would use again.

This company took £98 of my money as an up front payment for work. When I had to cancel my appointment (which was made very quickly over the phone with no explanation of their outrageous terms and conditions) I was told my upfront payment was non refundable. I had them come to complete the work as I had no other option and they had my money! When I contacted trading standards they were shocked at the practice but said as they arrange appointments so quickly it is classed as an 'emergency call out' and therefor the usual seven day cooling off period which would usually protect the consumer against this was not valid. I will not be using them or rated people again. I hope this helps.

Kevin came out within 20minutes of me logging my problem, Which on a Sunday I thought was excellant service. Also charged a fair price and the problem was resolved very quickly.

I have just bought a new house and would like someone to come in and check over the electrics. I suspect there will be some work needed - if only to replace the current fuse boxes - which are old style ones that uses fuse wire rather than trip switches. Hence, it would to come and have a look and quote for work needed. I've put a budget in on the following page - but it really depends on what needs doing. We don't move in until back end of next week - so obviously it'll be easier if there's signigifcant work needed to do that before we move in all the furniture. I am working from home this Friday if people are able to come and take a look and quote then. Piers
Adrian was excellent - turned up when he said he would and was very thorough - tracking down every loose wire and funny connection that the previous owners had put in. I suspect it was a bigger job than he'd anticipated, but he stayed until it was all done and he stuck to the amount he'd quoted. Would use again.

In my lounge I have 2 separate lights but 3 ceiling roses. The unused rose connects the other 2 lights wiring. I would like to take down the unused rose and simply put the wiring in the ceiling. I will plaster over it. Therfore, I need somebody to remove the unused rose and connect the wiring so that the other 2 lights work. All the wires are there at the rose ready to be connected.

I've just bought a new double oven which is provisionally booked for a delivery tuesday. I understand though that it is recommended that an electrician is needed subsequently for the hardwiring. Also I've paid the company I bought the oven from to remove old oven, but they have asked that it is disconnected first. Unfortunately I have only recently moved into the property, and so have no idea how easy a job this will be (ie is it jsut plugged in at the back). I think therefore that I will also need an electrician with this as well (??)
