I have 4mm 2 core armoured cable laid from the house to the back garden. I need this connected to the power supply. I have some bits for the job which I was going to do but thought better of it. I would like this done ASAP and i think the job is relatively easy. I know where the power source can be connected so I hope you're interested.
Derek installed a new consumer unit and connected my outside armoured cable in 2 days. He did a thorough job making sure he cleaned up afterwards and the circuits were tested. Excellent job and good value. Highly recommend!

Need electrical safety check on 4 bed house built in 1930s
I chose Stephen because he clearly discussed options for the work that needed doing and gave me clear advice and followed it up with an email which was very useful. So although he was not cheapest for the inspection, he seemed the most reliable. He arrived on time and was very thorough - he demonstrated some problem areas so I could understand and gave further advice which seemed fair. He was professional and friendly and I would use him again.

To replace an old wired unit, replace with a new consumer unit with trip switches
After Having Stuart around to do the work it was clear that Albans Electricians are a fine example of people with good old fashioned values and top quality work. I met Stuart and his dad. I had a consumer box replaced. Stuart spotted other dangerous electrics and fixed the problems. As for tidying up, I've not found one part of a wire left anywhere. These are the people to do the job...Top Class! Thanks Stuart and Co!

I have a series of low-volt halogen lights fitted in the kitchen ceiling. One has failed and it's definitely not the bulb this time! I suspect that the low-volt trandformer has failed - it's a Halolite HA-60. I'm looking for someone who can confirm the diagnosis and carry out the replacement/repair.
Did a good job. Quick and reliable. Would be happy to use again.
