Reception light issue. A light with 5 bulbs operated with a dimmer not working - lights to come on. We tried to switch the lights on, there was a noise from the light and electricity safety plug switched off electricity for the entire flat. Then, switching electricity for the flat on through the main switch box, the lights in the reception isn't working since.

We were supposed to have a new ceramic hob installed by Curry's but when they arrived they discovered that there's no "red switch" within 2m of our existing hob and so they weren't able to fit it. We therefore need someone to cut the existing wire, add a switch to it and then fit the hob which has now been delivered but not fitted. In addition we would also like a switch installed for our fridge (next to the hob) whose cable also currently runs directly to the fuse box.
Did an excellent job. Came on time, did the job for the price quoted and was very friendly with it. Better still, although I originally thought we needed a new hob he asked if I wanted him to check the old one first and when he did he discovered he could make it work so reinstalled it. He then came back to fix a new fusebox too (separate job). Highly recommended and very good value

Retro-fit kitchen cabinet LED down lighting and switch under two cabinets Please quote for cost of supplying and fitting LED strip lighting, switch transformer and wiring under two kitchen cabinets either side of a small cooker hood/extractor. The width of the cabinets are c 620 mm but the strip- light under the cabinet to the right of the cooker hood would ideally extend underneath the shelf which runs from the cabinet into the corner, approximately the same width again. So total length of LED lighting required is c2000mm (620mm+620+760). The exact location of the switch is to be confirmed (I suggest under the end of the work surface or at an edge of one of the cabinets) and the wiring could run from the plug behind the fridge, cooker or freezer which sit below the work surface (in that order as you look at the cabinets). Estimated work procedure Remove skirting fridge, cooker or freezer (avoiding damage to linoleum). Install transformer, wiring, strip lighting and switch Test Replace fridge, cooker or freezer and skirting
