I currently have 2 'standard' light fittings for energy saving bulbs in my living room, both controlled by 1 light switch. I would like to replace these with 9-12 LED downlights (depending on configuration) on a dimmer switch. I live in a top floor flat, but there is no loft access.
We were really pleased with the work Encroft did for us. They were very professional, competitive and prompt - and most importantly they did an excellent job! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will certainly use them again.

The lights in our flat are very teperamental and I think that there is something wrong with the wiring. I'd like the wiring to be tested to ensure it is safe, and one light fitting in particular to be replaced as it shows signs of having burnt out.
Very polite and helpful-would certainly recommend.

my tenant has smashed the glass halogen hob in our rented flat. need it replacing.
Marlon was very accommodating and patient as the date for the works changed quite a few times due to my rather difficult tenant. He also picked up a hob for me that I had ordered from Curry's, which was much appreciated. I haven't actually seen the quality of his work myself, as it is in a flat I rent out in London and I live in Bath, but the tenant tells me it is a very good job. I won't hesitate to use Marlon again if I need any electrical work doing in the flat.

thanks Original : 1. Install exterior TV aerial and internal aerial socket on the other side of the wall. Also fix discreet wire around sitting room, to give the option of moving the TV to the other side of the room. (We already have the aerial, and it can very likely be positioned on the exterior wall next to our neighbour's aerial)
2. Replace kitchen ceiling lamp with (already purchased) new fitting
3. Remove current (functioning) electric radiator from bathroom, and replace with (already purchased) electric towel rail.
Ideally the job would be done this Friday (22/10/12)

Connect outside light and interior light in porch. Switches and wiring already in situ, but do not appear to be correctly configured. Ceiling already removed for access to wiring, but we'd like the job done quickly so we can put it back!
Arrived very promptly and sorted the problem quickly. And all at a very fair price.

1. Replacing two hanging lights with new light fittings
2. Removing two wall lights
3. Replacing a hall light with a new light fitting
4. Checking connection of two spotlights, the spotlights don't work after the bulbs have been replaced.

I would like to have all of the existing white plastic light switches and plug sockets in my flat replaced with metal ones that I have bought. There are 8 light switches, 10 double sockets and 2 single sockets to replace. Several are protruded as they are in a box shape where as all of the metal replacements are thin.
After the replacements have been installed they may need to be some touch up paint work needed around the edges.

The socket in the electric box for the down sockets switch off suddenly with switch the TV on. Checked the electric box and power for the down swich was off and each time it is swiched back on it keeps switch off. All the lighting are on and working and the up sockets is also working.
