I would like to get a quote for the following for a flat in central Chiswick: •Investigation and rectification of 1 light fitting that stopped working (pendant light fitting with a dimmer switch that stopped working 2 weeks ago, following a period of flickering and with no obvious impact on the circuit breaker or any other sockets or lights). •Investigation and rectification of 1 light fitting that stopped working recently after we made an adjustment to the switch (5-bulb chandelier with simple on/off switch, which stopped suddenly and with a small bang after the switch screw was replaced, and for which the circuit breaker has flipped and also sparked when we tried to re-set it - circuit breaker for that loop is currently off). •Inspection of the remaining light fittings (7), switches (15) and the circuit breaker. We would like someone who can do on a Sat/Sun.
He contacted me straight away after the job posting with a clear fee quote and recommendation. He was flexible about the time, and was able to do on a weekend in a short notice. He let me know the estimate time of arrival, texted me an hour befor the agreed time slot to say where he was, and he arrived within the agreed time slot. He fixed the problems quickly and was very clean/tidy (took his shoes off too). We will use him again.

In my hallway I have 3 spotlights in the ceiling. Every time I turn the lights on, sparks come from one of the fixtures/wires near a fixture and this trips the fuse. A British Gas Electrical Engineer came round to inspect the lights and said that the way that the lights are installed is not correct to latest specs - as the wiring is too close to the lights so the plastic cdoverings are melting and uncovering live wires. In addition, as these lights were installed as the building was being constructed (I live on the top floor or a Victorian conversion), the only way to access them is through the light fixtures themselves. One way to resolve the problem would potentially be to replace the wiring that is there. However, this may not be possible and may not be the safest option (the BG Electrician would not do it because of red tape). I need someone to come round to inspect the problem and work out how best to resolve it.
I was really impressed with Nigel from start to finish. He was reliable, friendly, trustworthy, and got the job done exactly as required. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Connecting 2 lights for outside - the cable has already been connected to the main house. In addition, we need to have the alram reconnected - further to having some work done on our conservatory - we had to disconnect one of the sensors - the job woudl be to re-install the sensor in the conservatory and to reconnect the alarm.
Redjeb came in time and was very polite. He finally had to work much longer because the job was more complicated than we thought. Still he was calm and completed the job - he is now coming back for other jobs we need doing. We definitely would recommand him - honest, polite and reliable. Caroline & Robert from Chiswick.

I have a number of spotlights (6) that are not working even with new bulbs , ditto one strip light. I have one set of spotlights that are flickering. I have 2 lights in the hall that are attached to one switch I would like these splitting. I would also like an an extractor fan fitting.
I was very impressed with Jack. He was very polite and professional and accommodating to all our requests. I think his rates are very reasonable. I would use him again and would recommend him to others.

I'm currently the executor of a friend that died over Christmas time and in the process of sorting out her house and belongings. I'm totally gutting the house and taking it back to it's bare bones. Whilst using a wallpaper steamer today, all the electrics went out in the place and I fail to see where the problem is. The electrics in the place are extremely old! Therefore I'm looking for someone to repair and sort out the problem so I can get back to wallpaper stripping. Best regards, Colin Wren
