I am basically looking to get a few small jobs done now and some bigger ones later.
What I need at the moment would be:
1) Replace light by front door with sensor-enabled light (already purchased)
2) Do the same with light in garden (also already purchased)
3) Fix a fan in the toilet of shed-office. Once it is switched on it never seems to go off, and I end up having to switch it off at the switch box (the shed has its own box)
4) Possibly replace a bathroom fan, as the current one is far too weak (although we haven't purchased this yet)
At the moment, I would like to be quoted for jobs 1, 2, and 3, which are more urgent. I don't think we will be able to source a bathroom fan quickly enough.
I can highly recommend Michael. He was on time, carried out the work smoothly and efficiently. We will definitely call him again.

Hi I am looking to have a new rewire tested and certify, my normal inspector has moved out of London so looking for a good replacement, if everything goes good on this job there will be more work to come,budget depends on quotes.
I needed a test done on a new installation, Paul came and test/certify for me and did an excellent job, as a tradesman myself I find him reliable which is hard to find these days, I would recommend and use him in future jobs.

faulty light fitting. Halogen bulb has been replaced 3 times in the last 3 months
Luke was very punctual, got the work completed very quickly, and was extremely efficient and thorough.
Overall very good value for money as well.

I want a full inspection and report or recommendation on upgrades.
I think Andy has an immense attention to detail. Now this might not suit the client after a half cut / price job, but that said he virtually rewired my entire house for half what we expected to pay. His work is to a very high standard, he's a nice guy too, and he is the first contractor i have seen to not only tidy up, but Andy mopped the entire staircase and hallway. I am happy to recommend Andy for any job small or large.

The power of the lights of first floor went off. The switch box lever went down and doesn't stay in the on position. I guess there is a short circuit somewhere, probably in my bedroom. I need an electrician to come and fix it, I also have another small job, to connect the cables of the underfloor heating to the thermostat (already in place).
I'm quite happy with the work done, I'm going to contact him for other jobs in the future.

lights not working in bedroom and flickering in the hallway, need these tetsed and fixed
I had a number of small jobs around the house which needed doing, including the testing and fixing of ceiling lights which were not working in two locations the installation of a water timer and shelves built and put up in the kitchen and storage room, was very impressed with the friendly, efficient service i received and wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend to friends and family.

We've just had a survey done on a 3 bed 1950s house we're hoping to buy however the survey showed up that 'the electrics installation is dated and could be dangerous (See Appendix 15). Complete replacement is likely to be required and this must be carried out by the electricity company or an approved electrician (NICEIC registered)'.
Please could you give me an approximate quote urgently for the likely cost of rewiring the house as referred to by the surveyor above, as we need to decide whether or not to go ahead with the house purchase within the next couple of days?
