Budget Under £1,000

Job We currently have 45 8ft tube fittings in one of our warehouses. 8ft tubes are becoming increasingly expensive and so we need to have these replaced. We use 5ft tubes in other areas but we would be willing to look at other suggestions. We also have three 5ft fittings with burnt out starter motors stuck within them that need repair/replacing. Budget Under £100

Job 1. I have Baumatic Electric oven repair - the element has gone and need replacing. I have purchased a correct one but I cannot connect it. I cannot find the original instruction book. 2. Light dimmer switch in the lounge needs reconnecting. 3. Three halogen lights need replacing in the kitchen. Cannot get the fitting out to change the bulbs.

Budget Under £100

Job Master phone socket not working. Checked test socket and its ok so must be internal wiring. None of the other sockets work either but presume this is because the master doesn't.

Budget Under £500

Job 1. The double sockets in my three bedrooms are the old type situated on the skirting boards and need new ones resited to Electrical regulations. There a two double sockets in the main bedroom and one each in the rear bedroom and box room. Not sure what sockets to buy so would want the tradesperson to advise. 2. I also need an extra ceiling light in the main bedroom to be installed. Again, not sure what to buy. 3. Removal of dimmer switch from lounge and replace with normal switch. 4. The fuse box under the stairs to be inspected for safety.

Budget I'm not sure

Job To test, make safe and remove 6 switches/dials from a cupboard that used to house an old immersion water heater. And also to relocate two switches from the top of the same cupboard to the middles.

Job Improvements required to existing lighting and replace faulty sensor, to make area brighter for staff leaving in the dark.

Comment After getting an enormous variation in solutions and estimated costs from other electricians, Dave has done an excellent job of putting in exactly what we wanted to improve our existing dim car park lighting at a very reasonable cost. He also did an additional internal lighting job - again at good value. Both jobs performed quickly and efficiently to avoid any disruption to the surgery. Would definitely use again and recommend.
