Running electric power to a shed, both for lighting and power sockets.
Stuart not only gave us a quote but also offered advice with no pressure to accept it. He was the only one to submit a detailed written quote (a must in my opinion) that was reasonable.
He arrived when he said he would, worked hard and was very friendly. The completed job was very good and as expected.
I will have no problem asking to do further work if I need it or recommending him to other people.
replace consumer unit with new offering RCD protection install earth bonding to water and gas services upgrade meter tails issue new certification
Thanks, Jaime and Aiden for the work done. Hardworking, clean and pleasant manner from Jaime and professional and reassuring oversight from Aiden. They accommodated some extra odd jobs for me too, which I had overlooked.
Just moved into a victorian terrace and would like to have the electrics safety checked. Also would like 3 light fittings installed in kitchen and sitting room.
Darren was very thorough and methodical in detecting a fault with the electrics which he fixed sucessfully despite the slightly unconventional nature of the setup in my house. The new lights look great too and its nice to feel confident that a competant person has checked eveything. He turned up bang on time and did the whole job in under a day.
Install 2 x light fittings, 1 x light switch, 2 x power sockets Additional information: I's also like the halogens in the external lighting to be replaced ready for winter. I will supply the items to be installed Property style: Modern

Full rewire of 4 bedroom terraced house. From the survey results the following was recommended:
We would advise that a quotation is obtained for the replacement of the fuseboard with a modern consumer unit with residual current devices and for the full re-wiring of the dwelling with new power and light fittings provided. It would be advisable also that an extract fan is provided to the bathroom.
A visual inspection of the electrical installations revealed the fitments (socket outlets) are of varying ages. Many of the power and lighting points date back 50 years in which case we suspect the wiring could be rubber insulated and not the accepted PVC. Rubber insulated wiring would be considered obsolete under current regulations.
We observed a dated fuseboard in the under-stairs cupboard with re-wirable cartridges as opposed to the now-expected residual current device (RCD) protection or trip switches. There is a poor distribution of socket outlets (only two points in bedrooms and lounges) within the dwelling and most are in fact only single sockets. Many of the sockets are positioned too low on the skirting boards, which contravenes current electrical regulations.
It should be borne in mind that electrical testing standards have become more stringent in recent years and the system will not meet current NICEIC standards in many respects. As we have not seen a recent test certificate we recommend that the system is tested by a qualified electrical contractor and that any improvements deemed necessary are implemented. We would advise, however, that a quotation is obtained for the replacement of the fuseboard with a modern consumer unit with residual current devices and for the full re-wiring of the dwelling with new power and light fittings provided. It would be advisable also that an extract fan is provided to the bathroom. Customer is looking to buy this property
Unsold lead, updated details: The plug sockets are all in a front bedroom and the light fittings in separate bedrooms. Have no idea about cost so will consider reasonable quotes. Original: I need a couple of extra plug sockets fitting, 2 light fittings to move and a central heating thermostat to be fitted.
