Job Dining room. Supply, wire and fit 3no 5 amp sockets 1 in each corner adjacent kitchen wall and 1 adjacent twin socket outlet on the wall. These will be switched by the door. All cables to be chased into the walls and plaster covered. Lounge Supply, wire and fit 3no 5amp sockets, 2no in far corners and 1no near the door. Change light switch to 2 gang switch near door. All cables to be chased in to the walls and plastered over. Kitchen Replace switched fuse near cooker for lights. Wire and fit 1no twin socket surface near glass shelf. Move twin socket outlet under the stairs. Bedroom. Remove socket and BT outlet near the door and make safe cables. Supply, wire and fit 4 twin sockets, 2 each side of the bed. Supply, wire and fit 2 no 5 amp sockets 1 each side of the bed, switched by the door. Top floor Landing Replace faulty 1 gang 2 way light switch. Test work on completion and issue NICEIC certificate.

Comment There was a significant amount of ‘chasing into’ the plaster work in the lounge, the dining room and a bedroom, to allow the cables to be sunk into the walls. Both this and the subsequent electrical works Phil performed were all satisfactory Phil sub contracted the plastering to a plastering company. Sadly the quality of the work the plasterer performed was not in the same league as Phil’s electrical installation. Further there was no respect to my home by the plastering company. I have now had to appoint my own plasterer to make good the shocking service performed by Phil’s sub contractor, this has needed in excess of a full days work….the original plastering was less than a day As a consequence of the sub-standard plastering and the high cost of ‘putting right’ I am not able to recommend this company Indeed the whole episode puts into question the credibility of the concept of Rated People web site………what is appropriate for some people is not appropriate to others…..it is not an objective assessment of the quality of the service on offer Cary
