"This tradesman rewired a light and replaced a light switch and the ground floor lighting now works. However, he chased out about eight foot of wall for the cable. He fitted just two cable clips over the entire length so that the cable just hung down into the room. The switch was cheap and fitted upside down with just one screw and he did not attempt to remove the plaster debris caused by the chasing out, still less any making good. I telephoned him to ask if he was returning to tidy up the job and he declined. Photographs are available. The client is an elderly, simple man living alone from whom this tradesman has taken £110 for an unprofessional job."
