A nice easy job - no furniture whatsoever and no one living there to get in the way. I have two areas for carpeting - a sitting room that meassures 25sq.m and a hallway that's approx 7m x 1m in a nice clean flat in Brislington that I let out. I'm after an exceptional job as I have been let down in the past with carpet being laid the wrong way onto door-bars etc causing fraying. Ideally you should supply the carpet (underlay & gripper rods are already in-situ).

Updated : It is a replacement of safety flooring behind the bar in a pub. We have to get it done, as the lease is coming to an end and we have to repair all defects before we can renew. Approximate length of flooring 4 metres, maximum width 1.8 metres, but less over much of the length. When Enterprise Inns (the owners of the building)specify what needs to be done. They indicate what they think the cost will be and for this job their figure is £500 including materials. We will consider all quotes. Until we lift the existing flooring we will not know the state of the floor underneath, there may be repair work needed. This could be done on a time and materials basis. Enterprise suggest "fix new plywood to the substrate". They also ask for" hot welded joints and all edges sealed". There is some other flooring to supply and fit that could be part of the job, about 4 square metres. The flooring under that should be OK. Enterprise suggested this will cost £200. Original : remove existing safety flooring and replace. It may be necessary to replace some floorboards beneath existing flooring. Area approx 5 square metres. In a pub behind the bar.
