Reviews of Flooring Specialists in County Durham

Park East, DL1

Under £500
I would like laminate flooring to be installed in my kitchen. All the kitchen units are already installed and the flooring needs to go around it. The floor area is approximately 4x4m but it isn't a "square" area. Therefore, I am looking for a tradesman who can deal with awkward shapes for laminate flooring. I will pay for all the materials of the flooring. If the job goes well, then I will likely request for future jobs.
Jon was very helpful and courteous in putting in the laminate flooring I requested. He was especially accommodating to do the work when It was best suitable for me, and he completed an excellent job. Would highly recommend!

1 bathroom, flexible on job to be done, partial/full floor needs replacing, possible step near shower to be put in as wet room currently not working.
Brilliant job done and great value for money. Came to assess the situation and completed the job very quickly. We've asked for quotes for more jobs about the house as really pleased with the work completed. Would definitely recommend to others.

Remove old 2.5m x 2 m (6" wide perimeter with gravel centre) base. Dig out for new base. Lay new 4" thick 3.2m x 4.2m concrete base . Remove all waste.
After giving what i consider to be a more than reasonable quote, Gary started work when he said he would and carried out the job to perfection. He is a most hardworking, multi skilled and flexible tradesman with great communication skills whom i would recommend to anyone who wants value for money.

New carpets and underlay required in hallway, up the stairs/landing and in the attic room. Quite a lot of m2 therefore good quality and hard wearing but sensibly priced.
I never like leaving negative feedback but unfortunately in this case I have to. I contacted Mark Bates several times about viewing the job and getting a quote, each time he stated he was still interested and changed the date and time - but sadly never arrived, so obviously I went elsewhere. I cannot comment on his work - he never showed up, but unfortunately he lacks both communication and reliability skills. He may have a valid reason, but not even a phone call or a text, although I personally contacted him several times. I much prefer to use local tradesmen, but in this case, sorry I cannot recommend this guy.
