I want to replace the carpet in my living room and hallway with wooden flooring. I will supply the wooden flooring and underlay (unless can be bought cheaper for trade). Living room - 3.8m x 4.9m and hallway is 3.6m x 1.8m (roughly!).
I found Barry friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable about flooring. He was able to recommend a good supplier to source real wood and he provided a competitive quote. He was flexible in the working arrangements and was happy to take on extra work when asked. We need the floors sanding and sealing in 1 room (est 13 ft by 13 ft), 1 room (est 9 ft by 9 ft), 1 room (est 5 ft by 5 ft), the cupboard under the stairs, a small hall, and the downstairs toilet. We are looking for a tough finish - the sort of thing pubs etc use. In the large room, there is a currently a tiled hearth sunk in the floor, so we would need that partly removing and replacing with boards. We would like the job completed before Christmas.
Lovely job; we are very happy with the look of our rooms. Marcin offered the best solution for replacing our hearth while making sure that the floorboards still matched. The job took longer than predicted and the price increased slightly, but was still very good value.

Craig was very pleasant and came both times when he said he would in fact he phoned to give us notice that he was on his way. He removed and replaced our laminated flooring to a good standard and we would use Craig again.
