Just had my floors done by Steve and he was everything that you want from a tradesman. Steve was professional, punctual and very helpful. Most importantly he did a great job on the floors and is very competitive. I will be recommending him to any of my friends who are looking to sand their floors.

Brian took on the job of laying a solid wood floor at short notice and worked the weekend to tie in with decorator who was coming on the Monday. Brian did a first class job at a very reasonable price. I was short on beading and offered to finish the job myself - looked pretty straight forward. Brian would have none of it and went out his way to come back through the week to complete the work. It was reassuring to see that there are still real tradesmen out there and would definitely recommend Brian's work.

Although it took me a few weeks to choose the right shade of laminate with various trips to the wholesaler, Barry was very helpful and patient. He did a beautiful job and his attention to small details was appreciated. I could not have chosen a better joiner.

We would recommend Edinburgh floor doctor- friendly, honest but not pushy. Gave us time to choose materials and a reasonably quote. Came when he said he would and did a good job very quickly-laying carpet and and laminate floor in the toilet.

I'd like some floors sanded and polished. The rooms are a living room 12x11.6, a hall approx14x5 and a staircase treads, approx 13 steps. The house is almost 100 years old, traditional Edinburgh semi, so may well need a bit of repair or filling done on the floorboards.

Hi We need quotes for fitting both laminate flooring and carpets. I don't mind if you quote for only laminate or carpet fitting or both. We are planning on buying carpets for 4 bedrooms and our lounge, probably from Behar, and would be grateful if you could please supply a cost for collection, fitting, underlay and gripper. We have door bars already fitted so I guess they’ll be okay. Rooms sizes are: Bedroom 1: 3.35 x 3.69m Bedroom 2: 2.90 x 3.64m Bedroom 3: 3.38 x 4.53m Bedroom 4: 3.52 x 4.90m Lounge 5.63 x 4.25m Also could you please let me know what type/quality of underlay you normally fit/recommend? The carpets we are after aren’t that expensive - we’re looking at something around the £10-12-ish mark. We also plan buying Tile-loc laminated flooring from B&Q and would be grateful if you could supply a cost for fitting a bathroom and small toilet. We will need underlay board for this and edging or would could buy this from B&Q. We are also advised to use laminate joint glue to the joints and silicone sealant to the perimeters to improve water-proofing of the laminate. Sizes are: Bathroom: 2.19 x 2.75m (fitting round a toilet and basin pedestal) Toilet: 0.85 x 2.48m (fitting round a toilet) It would be useful if you could give us a breakdown of your quote as we may do more or less work depending on the cost.
