two rooms to be covered with wood panel flooring. One room2m by 3 1/2 m the other 3 1/2 by 3 1/2m.
Vishek and his mate laid solid wood flooring in two rooms in my flat having given me a quote the week earlier.
They arrived exactly on time worked very hard all day. They worked right the way through to the early evening to finish the job in one day to minimise disruption.
They have done a really good job. The finishing is very neat and the joints are tight. The floor has now been down two weeks and I really love it.
The quote was very reasonable and they charged exactly what was quoted.Anthony
the shower/utility room on the ground floor was flooded a few months ago by a leaking washing machine. Some of the floor tiles have "lifted". I am looking at either replacing them or re-doing all the tiles. Also, the skirting board has been damaged as well. The floor area of the room is about 2.5M X 1.5M.
I will be at home in the morning of Wednesday (4th July) for visits.
Excellent honest tradesman. Will definitely use again!martin
Smallish job for a carpet fitter. I have had a cupboard fitted and need a carpet fitter to remove the excess existing carpet around the cupboard. Can you quote please.
Really impressed with how quickly he responded and how efficiently he did the carpet re-ft.shalina
To fit aqua-step waterproof flooring throughout ground floor of Victorian terrace house. To include hall, 2 living rooms, under stairs toilet/shower room and kitchen diner.
Prompt and efficient estimate. Very pleasant and professional. Gave advice on a more suitable product for my needs. I will definitely be employing their services when required.John
9.84 m2 hall area to be recarpetted. Plan available.
I will obtain all materials (subject to advice on what will be required) and dispose of old carpet.
Should take no more than 2 hours max i would have thought.
Highly Recommend - competitive pricing, high quality propfessional work, prompt and amiable.James
Currently carpeted living room and bedroom - want to see if the floorboards underneath are suitable to be stripped/polished and if so to obtain a quotation for the work.
The job involved stripping the existing carpets in the living room and bedroom, sanding and polishing the original floorboards - the finish was beautiful and overall we were really happy with the floors as they have really transformed our flat; the team were very friendly, knowledgable and provided a competitive price which were the main reasons for accepting the quote. We had a few communication/logistical issues as to when we needed to move furniture around which caused a bit of stress in the morning before work and not being advised upfront of the foresseable extra cost for the hearths but this is more a constructive feedback point rather than criticism.
The only real disappointment was the experience with the painter who was employed through the company - he painted shut the sash windows and did not clean up the paint and dust he left on the newly varnished floors which has ruined the finish in the affected areas - he subsequently failed to turn up on the agreed day to rectify the problems with the windows and floors and we have not heard from the company since to explain or apologise. This was a real shame as we had been so happy with the flooring work (as reflected in our rating), thought that we had left on good terms and would happily recommend the flooring team on the basis of their hard efforts and the good job done - just a bit confused as to what happened afterwards.

There has been a leak in our building and to replace the pipe, a hole was made in ceiling of the flat below, and the laminate flooring and soundproofing was partly removed in the flat above. Lower Flat B - Hole in ceiling The hole is about a foot across and the ceiling has artex which will either need to be matched or if it is cheaper, scim the whole ceiling which is about 2m X 1m to make it all smooth. Don't mind either option as long as it is undectable at the end. We have the paint. Upper Flat D - Repair to laminate flooring and soundproofing About 2m X 0.6m area of PERGO tongue-and-groove laminate flooring to be reinstated. We have limited spare laminates and between-rooms joint strips, and think they should be barely enough. Part of the two layers of soundproofing were also pulled back but I think they can be taped back along the cuts with aluminum tape.
