Living room floor needs sanding to remove the orange varnish and finishing to a light colour. One small area needs to be repaired.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guys at Southern Cross. They were super quick and did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. All the guys were lovely and really helpful. I will be using them again and will be recommending them to my friends.

Some floorboards are damaged in an area of one room and I need them replaced and sanded to match the rest - I do not need the whole room doing, just repaired where necessary.
Excellent service - contacted me quickly and quoted for the job. Then was able to do the job the next day once we had agreed a price. Hard worker, tidied up and very helpful. Would recommend and would use again.

Unsold Job, Updated Details : Sorry, where it is stated 27m2 should actually be 37 m2) Original : Remove and dispose existing carpet on ground floor (roughly 19 m2), staircase, landing and 1st floor (roughly 27 m2) and Install engineered wood (to be decided but narrowed down to either cherry, jatoba, iroko etc). Ground floor requires insulation in addition to wood floor. Ensure ground is perfectly flat before installation.

We have an existing Kars wood floor (click system), which has been in place for around 10 years. When the room was extended, the floor was also extended but some of the boards were not well laid and one was damaged. We have one pack of additional boards left over from the work and would like to replace the damaged and badly laid ones with these. The section of flooring in the room extension goes under the skirting boards and the original section was laid up to existing skirting with beading. We have considered doing this ourselves but think it is probably a job for someone experienced. is this something you could do, or is it too small a job? We are in Sheen, by the way.

We have had a leak under our suspended wooden floors on the ground floor. We have had to cut out a section (75cm x 120cm) to access the pipes. We will need the damaged engineered boards to be replaced with new ones and sanded and varnished to look like the rest of the floor.
The exisiting floorboards are 18mm oak engineered fixed onto plywood. The oak engineered flooring is still available for purchase. Photos avaliable upon request.
