I need carpet laying in my front room which is approx 5.5m x 3.5m and has a post/pillar in the middle which is roughly 80cm x 40cm. I already have the carpet, underlay and door separaters all I need are carpet grippers. The room will be prepared and all furniture removed beforehand. Would like carpet fitted ASAP

Andrew came promptly after he contacted me and brought a good spread of carpet samples.When they job was due to start the workmen arrived at lunchtime instead of 8.30 in the morning which threw my time table for that evening totally out. I was meeting friends for a theatre show. Apparently they had car problems and had to hire another van. When the carpet had been laid I was required to vacuum them. An industrial vacuum cleaner was needed. The workmanship however was very good.

I cannot fault Mark and his team, the price was the most competitive, they turned up on time, did a good job and finished on time. You can't say fairer than that as they say.

I am looking for a tradesman who specialises in laying laminate flooring. I need approx 10.5 - 11 msq of flooring laid in a room with a small L shape (to the main part, the room is rectangular - approx 9ft x 10 ft (or so) - entry (which is to the right of the main room) is via a door leading to a small L). The flooring is QuickStep Eligna double-plank maple. It does not require glueing or fixing in any way, since it slots together. I have fitting instructions available. I require a quote for the laying of the flooring, sound and damp proof underlay (all in one product), scotia and Incizo Profile (transition). No prep work for the floor is needed, since the laminate will be laid over existing tile flooring which is in good, clean condition. Eventually the hallway, living room and my bedroom will be resolved in the same treatment but I require a quote for ONE room only, for the moment. Ideally, I need someone who can do the job in one day, on a Wednesday (I work at home on Wednesdays). I may be able to stretch to a further day (i.e Tuesday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Thursday) but for a competent floor specialist, laying this floor in such a confined space should take less than a day. NB: I will revalidate my mobile and email shortly. I am still awaiting the email from the site before doing so. But please go ahead and quote pending the validation. Thanks.

we have a concrete floor that covers our loft style ground floor. The rough dimensions are 35 feet by 45 feet. For unknown reasons, the floor was laid 7 years ago in three 35 by 15 foot swathes as opposed to all in one. There is underfloor heating as well. The fllor is cracking quite badly along the lines between the swathes. Short term, we to fill the cracks, long term, open to suggestions.

I have three rooms plus landings which need differing amounts of sanding to get them right for finishing. They are old pine floors and I would like them to be oiled but don't want to end up with orange floors!! I have been advised to use either Fiddes White Hard Wax Oil or Osmo White wood wax finish and then their Clear Hard Wax Oil. Total floor is approximately 60sq.m.
