I have a laminate floor currently and would like underlay/carpet laid over it. I have the underlay and carpet but no gripper rods. the room is a former garage converted to an office, that are two sets of drawers that can not be moved under the counter but other than that it is wall to wall, dimensions: 92in/7ft 8/2.34m by 191in/15ft 11 in/4.85m overall

i need laminate flooring laid in a living room and hallway in around 2-3 weeks time. where possible i do not want the beading around the edges but to go under skirting (if possible ) and maybe decorators corked if any gaps and want it to flow through from living room to hallway so no door plate at living and hallway connection., i am planning to purchase the shire oak effect laminate that is from wickes .. if it is in stock. each pack covers 2.22sq metresso i can buy the laminate but need to know how many packs i should get. also if the tradesman could supply the underlay and any beading that may be necessary and entarnce plates although where possible as previously stated i want it flowing from living room to hallway and minimu beading. the living room is 13.5 ft x 12 ft and the hallway is 6.5 ft at the widest point x 12 ft , the floors are solid not floor boards . a tradesman who i cannot now get contact with said that it was an area of 22.5 sq metres.

Supply and install underfloor heating on the ground floor level, currently laminate flooring. Will be replacing laminate flooring so taking the opportunity to install underfloor heating.
Never ever use this company or an electrician called David Freeman. After installing the underfloor heating, it stopped working after a few months. He answered the call to return and investigate the error but soon disappeared. I finally had to get in touch with the manufacturers who after checking the installation said that the installation done was unsafe (there were sparks where the fault was found) and the entire installation was deemed unsafe and not as per manufacturers instructions.

I have layed an engineerind floor however it is very creaky! i assume the sub floor (wooden floorboards are not flat enough and the movement of the engineered flooring tongue and groove is causing the noise.
