To lay underlay, wooden flooring and moulding (all materials provided) - 50sqm, over 5 rooms.
Bob has just completed laying 50sqm of laminate flooring across 5 rooms, plus floor tiling in the bathroom. The job was completed to the original quote and took the amount of time i expected it to. Everything has been done to a high standard and I'm very pleased with the final result. Bob certainly knows what he is doing and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. I recently had the original floor boards, previously covered by carpet, on the ground floor of my Victorian terrace sanded and restored. There are now uneven gaps, some up to a couple of centimetres, between the bottom of the skirting and the floor. I'd like you to cut/adapt moulding to follow the profile of the floor (in straight lines, not for each individual board) and to fix the moulding to the existing skirting, keeping the top of the new moulding parallel to and equidistant from the top of the skirting. The total length of the affected skirting is approximately 25 metres. As would be expected in a Victorian house, there are multiple corners and joins to consider (chimney breasts, bay window, room corners, etc.). I have already purchased the moulding. It's simple flat D profile pine in 2.4m strips. All furniture has been moved away from the walls, so you'll have easy access. There is a decking area behind the house with doors leading directly to the affected room that you could use for cutting/shaping the moulding. If you'd like, you could also quote separately for painting the moulding gloss white. Thanks.
