Very difficult to rate this tradesman as he called in sick for three days after he was due to start the job and then failed to show up at all. After numerous unanswered phone calls we employed another contractor. All we can say about this contractor is he is extremely unreliable.

I would definitely recommend MAJ Property Improvements. They have spent the last 4 weeks working at my house and have done a superb job and definitely exceeded my expectations! The scope of the work included: laminate flooring in the Lounge/Diner, reinstalling a partition wall upstairs to create a third bedroom, interior (wall and ceiling) and exterior painting, new internal doors, kitchen cabinets, electric cooker installation and various other small jobs. A very polite, friendly, diligent worker who turned up early and worked for a solid 8-9 hours every day. Very trustworthy and honest chap. I just left him with all the house keys and a pot of money and he kept me updated on how he was getting on with the spend and progress. I saved a bundle of money because Mark and his wife both kept an eye on special offers etc and let me know where I could buy the laminate, paint etc from. They also threw in free interior decorating and helped me choose the paint colours, blinds and furniture. I was very apprehensive about whom to select to do the work but I am glad I picked MAJ Property Improvements and am already compiling a list of jobs for the future and will be sure to ask MAJ Property Improvements to do the work.

The wiooden flooring required is 40mtr squared and will cover a porch, dining room, lounge, and hallway. Ideally we would like solid or engineered flooring (not laminate) in oak. We would also like included new white skirting board to fit over the flooring. The floor space itself it quite square, so there should be limited waste.

My lounge is approx 31 square metres. I had an engineered timber floor laid in 2003 but have not looked after it as well as I should have. It is now badly scuffed in places..... and perfect in others. I am aware that the only way to get it looking as good as new is to have the whole floor sanded and refinished.
