Floor area which needs to be fitted are: kitchen - 4.3m x 1.5m and linked utility - 1m x 1.7m some floor prep is required due to old tiles, so a pre quote visit is essential. Vinyl floor is already available, 3m x 5m x 4mm thick with a linear grain pattern, which needs to run along the length of the room, in parallel with the line of units. All skirting is removed and kick boards are not yet fitted to the new kitchen. Job must be done neatly, in one piece and with no change of it lifting, as this is a busy part of the house.
Steve was very proactive and agreeable to work with, he surveyed quickly and booked me in without delay, once the price was agreed. Price was reasonable for the work required. He made good an uneven and poor quality sub floor with a wet screed, very clean with virtually no splashes at all, then laid a new vinyl floor covering. The only slight draw back was that two small areas lifted, Steve sorted these out quickly and with no fuss, coming over on a Friday night after a long day on site. Since then the floor has stayed flat and fixed. This person is reliable and trustworthy, I have no problem recommending him.

Laying floor onto a concrete base which will probably need sealing. The lounge is about 24 feet long and 14.5 feet wide, aprox 36sq m. There is a small alcove and 3 doors to consider. The adjoining hall also needs a floor with an extra door.The area is approx 14 sq m. Both rooms have been striped of skirting and architrave and have been stipped of all furniture except for a 2 and 3 seater settees.
A joy to watch a real craftsman at work. Unlucky that partner gave birth earlier than expected which caused disruption. Time keeping typical of tradesperson. Has been back to make an adjustment without further fee. This was not caused by poor workmanship but by the nature of having a "living" floor.

Updated : Upon reflection, the entire floor will probably need to be re-tiled after all the old tiles have been removed. Mainly because it would be doubtful that the old tiles could be matched up.
