We are looking for a gardener to mow the lawn, edge borders, plant flowers
Dave began work in July 2011. Started *exceedingly well* but soon the quality of work & customer service declined. How?: 1. Sprouting plants were removed & I had to replace 2. Chatted too much, listened too little! About his dislike for England, being a gardener, his girlfriend working at Primark, his taxes, his dislike of some of his customers - the list goes on.. 3. Left back border in a state. When I told Dave, he started to argue with me. I asked him not to return his reply, 1 word, "cool"

Needs to be done before 21st July. Not a very large gravelled area, about 9 ft x 9 ft. Taken over by mostly poppies and similar wild things. One flower bed and about 8 planters all look sad and droopy and need new life bringing to them. I would supply all the plants. Gardener would need to provide own tools. I reckon probably a half day's work for one gardener? Possible this could need doing every 2 to 3 months... just a tidy-up.
I was very impressed with how quickly David contacted me after I'd listed my job on Rated People. He was friendly and polite and able to give me advice on the best way to deal with the garden. The job was completed within 48 hours of my contacting Rated People, it was done efficiently, and just how I wanted it. I would certainly ask David to come back if I needed more work to be done. We agreed a price before the work was done and I thought the amount asked was completely fair given the fiddlyness of the job. In the past I've been the one to pull the weeds painstakingly one by one out of the gravelled garden and I know it's a backbreaking task, so I was really pleased to see how very well it had been done. I didn't use Dan on this occasion, but I liked his approach, his quote was reasonable and his work looks good on his website. I'll more than likely keep his details and use him in future

We are very happy with the work that has been completed. The team were timely, pleasant, professional and did an excellent job. Following on from the completion of the job the tradesperson gave me a follow-up call to confirm everything was OK, as there were some areas of the truf that had not taken I notified him and he came within 2 days to replace the turf at no extra charge. I highly recommend for any landscaping work.

Front garden Cut grass Hedge trimming (two small hedges) Weeding (one small bed) Weeding (pavement and driveway) Back garden - no grass Leaf collecting Weeding Power hose the patio and furniture - not essential Hopefully the job is worth it for you, and affordable for me. It took me 3.5 hours last year, I reckon it could be done in less than two for someone who knows what they are doing, i.e. not me! I'd love to find someone local who I could trust to do this and some other odd jobs for me. I look forward to hearing from you.
