Slightly overgrown smallish garden needing heavy pruning and digging over. Looking for a one off tidy up so that we can then replant and keep on top of the garden. Quote to include clearing out the garden pond which is full of weeds and over grown plants so that the water pump might actually work! We live on a modern housing estate so the garden isn't huge.
Bill was excellent. He was prompt in contacting me and once we had agreed the work he gave clear indications of when he would start the job. He was always punctual unless the weather got in the way in which case he liaised with me to arrange a different time. The work was carried out very efficiently and he also gave me advice as he was going along which as a novice I really valued. Overall extremely impressed and hope to use him for further work. Overall quality work at a fair price.

I need someone to help me in my large garden on a one-day-a-week basis for the next few months. The work includes some amount of - fencing - laying of slabs (in a storage area, not to patio standards) - clearing and turfing an area - pruning - mowing - and any other general gardening task etc. You will need to know something about plants (I will ask you questions) so you don't chop the wrong things!; be fit enough to shift slabs (not many, but slabs are heavy); and be flexible about what you do, as we improve the appearance of my garden. Please respond with your daily rate and a short summary of your experience of gardening. Don't worry if you are not an expert - I will be around to assist and direct operations! Flexibility and a good attitude are key! I have a room to decorate and furnish and not enough time to do everything, though I would do it all if I had the time. Ignore the budget figure, it isn't relevant for this type of engagement.
A pleasant fellow to work with and very amenable. Knows what he is doing and does it to a high standard. Recommended!

Getting to grips with a very old wisteria. It reaches up to the gable of the house (so you will need a tall ladder) and needs hard pruning to get rid of all the whispy shoots taking it back to the main much much thicker branches to give it a new lease of life.
I can recommend Tiger Services. Very pleasant person, he did a great job pruning the Wisteria and when he had finished offered to paint the newly exposed drainpipe as well. I will certainly use again.

at least one fence post seems to have come loose in the high winds and may need replacing or concreting. Wooden fence is now moving when the wind blows.
